Design and Display
The Micromax Unite 4 Pro exhibits with a 5-inch IPS LCD display. The screen has HD resolution and pixel density of 294ppi. It comes with a removable gold coloured back cover with metallic finish giving a premium look and feel to the device. The back panel curves towards the edge which gives the phone a relatively comfortable grip.
OS and Configuration
Although the device is shipped with Android v5.1 (Lollipop), it is upgradable to Android v6.0 (Marshmallow). The handset also features Indus OS 2.0, a custom UI wrapped around the Android software, which caters to Indian users who are more comfortable using their mother tongue. The Indus OS 2.0 supports 12 Indian languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Gujarati. Under the hood, the device is armed with 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9832A processor, 2GB RAM and Mali-400 MP2 GPU.
Camera and Storage
For photography, the device features an 8MP shooter on the rear. It is equipped with CMOS image sensor, autofocus and LED flash. It offers good picture quality and can record HD videos at 30fps. It is accompanied by a 5MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. The handset comes with a 16GB internal storage which is further expandable upto 32GB using microSD card.
Connectivity and Battery
The smartphone offers wide range of connectivity options which are dual SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and microUSB 2.0. The device packs fingerprint sensor on the back for security purpose. Other sensors present in this device include light, proximity, accelerometer and gyroscope.
