Display and Configuration
The Motorola DROID Maxx 2 features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with full HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixels) resolution resulting into a pixel density of 401ppi. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 (1.7GHz quad-core + 1GHz quad-core) processor, paired up with 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 graphics. For screen protection, the handset is covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass. The device features sensors such as Accelerometer, Compass, Light sensor and Proximity sensor. The single SIM handset weighs 169gms, has a waistline of 10.9mm and is available in black and white colours.
Camera and Storage
The phone is stacked with a 21MP auto-focus main camera inclusive of dual LED flash. The camera features a wide range of options such as 4x Digital Zoom, AF Phase Detection, Continuous Shooting, Exposure compensation, Face detection, Geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR) and Touch to focus. Users can also record HD video resoluting 1,920 x 1,080 @30fps. For selfie admirers, there is a 5MP front snapper which captures excellent pictures. The device has an internal memory of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
Battery and Connectivity
The smartphone sips it juice from a 3,630mAh Li-ion non-removable battery. The device features a wide range of connectivity options such as GPRS, EDGE, 3G, 4G (doesn't support Indian brands), Wi-Fi 802.11, a/b/g/n, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS, USB port, Computer sync, NFC, OTA sync and Tethering.
The handset is water-repellent coated which doesn't let spills, splashes, or a little rain stand in the device.
The Motorola DROID Maxx 2 is an efficient smartphone which can easily withstand your need for gaming, streaming, and multi-tasking. The water-repellent nature and Gorilla Glass protection makes it a rough and tough phone. The camera department doesn't disappoint either. A perfect device except that it doesn't support Indian 4G bands.
