  • Motorola Droid Razr Maxx Review: 4G LTE With Solid Battery Life Just Got Real
    Jordan Crook
    31 Dec 2011 | techcrunch

The Droid Razr Maxx by Motorola is a very special phone. You see, I had a bit of a thing for the Droid Razr when it first came out, but it wasn`t quite perfect. It felt a bit light, and I had trouble holding it in my hand since it was so big and so......

Pros: Big battery life improvements (more on that later) ; Bump in storage from 16GB to 32GB ; Feels a bit more like a premium product with the added heft

Cons: If you liked the size of the RAZR, the thickness might bother you ; Poorly placed microUSB charging port ; No removable back cover (which has its rough consequences, I recently learned)

Verdict: At the end of the day, Iu2019d say this is probably my favorite new 4G LTE phone, mostly because it actually makes LTE a viable option. Past that, itu2019s quite beautiful, reliable, and well-built. You wonu2019t scratch the screen by dropping it a f...

Motorola ups the Android ante with its new creation, the Droid Razr Maxx. Not only does this superslim handset come equipped with all the outstanding features that graced the first Droid Razr, Motorola has thrown in an energy-dense 3,300mAh battery,......

Pros: Despite a beefed-up battery, the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx has a slim, attractive, and durable design with the same gorgeous display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, and fast Verizon 4G/LTE data speeds as its predecessor. It retains powerful multimedia...

Cons: For such an advanced smartphone, the vague promise of a future Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is disappointing. Also, while a stronger battery is great, it`s still not user-removable. People with small hands will find it hard to wrap around the phone`s...

Verdict: The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx proves that a powerful Android superphone can remain thin yet still promise marathon-worthy battery life. If you can live without Ice Cream Sandwich and have big hands, the Maxx is extremely compelling....

  • Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX Review
    Phil Nickinson
    06 Feb 2012 | androidcentral

This is the Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX on Verizon. Looks a lot like the Motorola Droid RAZR on Verizon, doesn't it? Because it is. You can sum up the MAXX in a single sentence: It's a Motorola DROID RAZR, with a bigger battery. Period, end of story. The software's the same. The hardware's nearly identical. It just has a larger-capacity battery, making the phone slightly thicker. That can't be the whole review, can it? Well, it m...

Pros: It's still big, it's still fast, and it's still got a lot of great software enhancements from Motorola. And now it has a bigger-capacity battery, that makes the phone feel better, too.

Cons: It's still got Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. We've decided we don't like the display after all. And although the the battery's bigger, you still can't swap it out for a fresh one.

Verdict: This is the Droid RAZR with a bigger batter. And it's what Motorola and Verizon should have released in November, plain and simple....

  • Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX review: Verizonu2019s smartest smartphone is still a tough sell
    Zach Epstein
    31 Jan 2012 | bgr

After years of trying to build a smartphone worthy of reinventing the world famous RAZR brand, Motorola finally launched a handset it deemed to be deserving of the moniker last November. The DROID RAZR was released on November 11th and was a marvel......

Verdict: The DROID RAZR MAXX features solid, attractive hardware and Motorolau2019s Smart Actions feature makes it one of the smartest smartphones Iu2019ve ever used. Even still, I canu2019t in good conscience recommend this device when Verizon Wireless offer...
