It`s not news that Android QWERTY sliders, once the staple of midrange and even luxury smartphones, have become few and far between. Sprint`s current hot handsets, such as the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and HTC Evo 4G LTE, are both card-carrying members of the......

Pros: The Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE brings a fast processor, a superb keyboard, Android 4.0, and a bright, colorful screen.

Cons: Until Sprint LTE is more widespread, the Photon Q 4G LTE is mostly stuck with 3G data. The phone is thick and heavy, it takes disappointing pictures, and its battery isn`t user-removable.

Verdict: The Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE is hefty, but packs modern Android power, an excellent keyboard, and LTE 4G if you`re lucky....

It\'s not news that Android QWERTY sliders, once the staple of midrange and even luxury smartphones, have become few and far between. Sprint\'s current hot handsets, such as the Samsung Galaxy S 3 and HTC Evo 4G LTE, are both card-carrying members of the massive-screen and razor-thin club. With its bright 4.3-inch screen, Android 4.0 software, speedy Snapdragon S4 processing, and a truly sweet keyboard design, the $199.99 Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE...

The newest slide-out hardware QWERTY keyboard rocking smartphone has finally hit the market. That being the brand new Motorola PHOTON Q 4G LTE with the Now Network. Motorola calls this a u201ctriple threat phoneu201d with a great screen, PC-like keyboard, and......

Verdict: In the end the Motorola PHOTON Q 4G LTE is a great piece of hardware. The keyboard isnu2019t quite u201cPC-likeu201d as they call it, but certainly one of the best keyboards on a phone weu2019ve used in a while. The screen isnu2019t HD but has great ...

The Motorola Photon was one of our favorite Sprint phones last year. Its comfortable styling and fast processing stood in sharp contrast to many of the other phones hitting the market. But with a new year comes a new phone. In its second go round, Motorola has stuck to what worked with the Photon, while giving it one strong differentiating feature: a slide-out keyboard. So how does the Photon stack up against Sprint’s burgeoning library of ...

Pros: Fantastic keyboard,Fast processor,Runs Android 4.0,Good feel and size,4G LTE connectivity,

Cons: Poor battery life while idling,Camera doesn't match up to competitors,Poor LTE availability on Sprint,Some call drops and data slowdowns,

Verdict: With the Photon Q 4G LTE, Motorola continues its upward trend in design and usability. The Q keeps up with competing phones in every important way and though the battery and camera still leave something to be desired, they are serviceable. Most impor...

The Photon Q 4G LTE aims to offer one of the best QWERTY experience this side of Waterloo. Featuring laser-cut keys, individual LED backlighting and a full five rows, the Photon Q certainly makes a strong case for this fading piece of technology. Of......

Pros: Well designed, comfortable to use physical keyboard ; Snappy OS performance ; Bright, vivid display

Cons: Non-HD screen resolution ; Camera performance could have been better ; A fixed battery means youu2019ll need to manage your battery better

Verdict: So, is Motorolau2019s Photon Q a good enough phone to keep the QWERTY alive? Probably not, considering it is probably the carrier`s fourth best LTE phone. Still, for those who just canu2019t let the QWERTY go, the Photon Q does offer an outstanding k...
