Display and Configuration
The Nokia D1C comes with a 13.8-inch IPS LCD Full HD (1,080 x 1,920 pixels) display and has a pixel density of 160ppi. For driving the system, there is a 1.4GHz quad-core (Cortex A53) processor aided by 3GB of RAM and seated upon Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 MSM8937 chipset. The device boots on Android v7.0 (Nougat) operating system and features Adreno 505 graphics engine. Sensors include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Compass, Gyroscope etc.
Storage and Camera
In order to save a large number of files, the device has an internal memory of 16GB out of which around 9GB free storage shall be available for the user. For further expansion of storage, one can separately buy any microSD card upto 128GB. In terms of photography, the device is armed with a 16MP main camera inclusive of auto flash and digital zoom feature. It can capture an image upto a resolution of 4,616 x 3,464 pixels whereas video recording can be done in FHD mode (1,920 x 1,080 @30fps). For selfie admirers, there is a 8MP front snapper
Connectivity and Battery
The device offers a wide range of options such as single SIM, 4G (supports Indian bands), 3G, 2G, voice calling, Wi-Fi 802.11, a/ac/b/g/n/n 5GHz, Mobile Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS with A-GPS, Glonass and microUSB 2.0. There is a massive 9,000mAh li-polymer battery which keeps the show running for long hours.
Nokia returns back by launching the Nokia D1C and the latest buzz is that it is expected to launch two flagship Android Nougat devices before the end of this year. This well configured D1C is ideal for multitasking/ games and that too for long hours since the battery backup is very good. However, rumors are there that the device shall feature split view multitasking.
