The new budget friendly device from Rage consists of a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) IPS LCD capacitive multi-touch display with a pixel density of 165 ppi. Handling the performance at the core is a 1GHz single-core Cortex A5 processor running on a Spreadtrum SC6820 chipset. The CPU is also accompanied by a 256GB RAM with Mali-400 GPU and it runs on Android v2.3.6 (Gingerbread) OS.
The smartphone packs in a 1.3MP fixed focus rear camera with LED flash and comes with no front camera. The device is built with 512MB of internal memory which can be further extended up to 32GB with an external microSD card slot.
With a 1300mAH, Li-ion battery, Rage Bold 3501 delivers a talktime of 5 hours and 11.4 hours standby time on 2G. Connectivity features include GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB connectivity.
The Rage Bold 3501 is a very basic entry-level smartphone for people with a tight budget and is best suited for running simple applications.
