HTC Advantage X7510
October, 2008 | Source: zdnet.co.uk

PROS: Large screen accommodates data-rich tasks, 3G/HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, Keyboard works well with haptic response enabled, 16GB of internal storage, VGA-out and TV-out capability

CONS: Large and heavy for a handheld, Private voice calling is only possible with a headset, Magnet system for joining screen and keyboard is fallible

BOTTOM LINE: Although it has a number of attractive features, we can't recommend the Advantage X7510 as a replacement for either a notebook computer or a conventional smartphone. It's also expensive if viewed as an adjunct to either device.

HTC Touch Advantage X7510 review
October, 2008 | Source: mobilechoiceuk.com

PROS: Big screen, usable keyboard, great for two-way video calling

CONS: Far too large to carry in the pocket, and voice calls only work with the speakerphone or a headset for privacy

BOTTOM LINE: HTC's Advantage X7510 is a peculiar handset. It is far too big to be called a smartphone, yet far too small to be called a notebook computer, so it sits somewhere in between the two …

HTC Advantage
October, 2007 | Source: totalmobilemag.com

PROS: Wi-Fi connectivity and 3G, Smartphone with detachable typewriter keyboard, 3 megapixel camera with autofocus

CONS: Huge size, Not easy to use as a phone, Not easy to use as a camera

BOTTOM LINE: If you think of the HTC Advantage purely as smartphone, you're talling one hefty bit of kit - so big in fact that it comes in two parts. Weighing in at over 359g, the device sets some sort of record for a smartphone

HTC Advantage X7510
May, 2008 | Source: mobiletechreview.com

BOTTOM LINE: The HTC Advantage is a tweener: it's not a UMPC like the HTC Shift and Fujitsu U810 because it doesn't run a full version of Windows. It's not a smartphone because it's too large to hold to the head, and in fact you can only use it for phone ...

Review: HTC X7510 Advantage
May, 2008 | Source: mobileburn.com

BOTTOM LINE: HTC's X7510 Advantage is a new Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional smartphone that has a real focus on data. It is big and heavy, but with features like a 5" VGA display, and tri-band HSDPA data, it has loftier goals than just voice.

HTC X7510 Advantage Review
July, 2008 | Source: phonearena.com

PROS: 5-inch screen, User-friendly keyboard, Phone module, that can be used for making calls, The options to connect to a monitor and to plug in flash memory

CONS: Sluggish OS, The mediocre visualization of large documents, The video playback cannot be used, Limited functionality in contrast to UMPC, The price and size do not justify the functionality

BOTTOM LINE: Despite the fact that it is equipped with a GSM/3G module and being a product of the leader in this class, HTC X7510 Advantage is more of a 'mobile assistant'. We say mobile, and not ......

HTC Advantage X7510
July, 2008 | Source: cnet.co.uk

PROS: Screen ; storage Qwerty keyboard ; connectivity ; battery life ; good features

CONS: Price ; practicality ; camera ; graphics performance

BOTTOM LINE: The HTC Advantage X7510 smart phone is a great piece of kit. We especially liked the haptic Qwerty keyboard and large screen. With Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS and 16GB of storage, you have a useful alternative to a laptop for out of office use

PROS: Screen ; storage QWERTY keyboard ; connectivity ; battery life ; good features

CONS: Price ; practicality ; camera ; graphics performance

HTC Advantage
July, 2007 | Source: mobiletechreview.com

PROS: Attractive and innovative design, very good VGA display, fast processor, lots of RAM, flash ROM and microdrive space. Windows Mobile 6 is powerful and has enough to offer to make this a reasonable notebook substitute if you don't need specific Windows ...

CONS: Not cheap. No option to run everything in VGA for those who have excellent eyes. Shows and holds onto fingerprints mercilessly

BOTTOM LINE: Is it a PDA, a mini-computer or a phone? It's a bit of each. While the HTC Universal (commonly sold as the i-mate JasJar and other carrier-branded names) tried to be a phone, HTC has learned that most folks don't want to hold a handheld computer to ...

HTC X7510 - something changed... - MobileArsenal PDA/GPS review
August, 2008 | Source: mobilearsenal.com

BOTTOM LINE: ...but the main concept remained the same: UMPC-sized PDA that doesn't know much more than others that are a third in size.

HTC Advantage, a review HTC Advantage
August, 2007 | Source: laptopmag.com

PROS: Big, crisp display, • Clever magnetic keyboard, • Fast processor, • Accurate GPS navigation with local search

CONS: Bulky design is too big for a pocket, • Mediocre call quality, Talk/Standby Time: 4.5 hours/12.5 days, , , , , , , , Top-heavy is the best way to describe the HTC Advantage X7501. The 13.1-ounce device is almost all screen with a flat magnetic ...

BOTTOM LINE: The Windows Mobile-based Advantage offers more speed and bang for your buck than a UMPC, but is it worth three times the price of a smart phone?

HTC Advantage
August, 2007 | Source: pcmag.com

PROS: Robust TeleNav GPS with comprehensive voice prompts. Stunning, bright screen. Includes basic document editing and robust keyboard. Built-in HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetoothyou name it, it's in there.

CONS: Too large to be a primary mobile phone. Can make or receive calls only with headset or speakerphone. Occasional OS glitches. System performance is sluggish, even with fastest available processor. A shockingly high price.

BOTTOM LINE: Depending on how you slice it, the HTC Advantage is either a nifty miniature laptop or a huge smartphone--and that's not exactly a good place to be. It costs too much and is way too compromised to appeal to anyone aside from the niche enthusiast.

HTC Advantage

BOTTOM LINE: Poised somewhere between smartphones and UMPCs, HTC's unlocked Advantage is too compromised to excel.
