The Galaxy S lineup is no stranger to versioning - the original Galaxy S relied on half a dozen different editions to achieve its market success. Its successor will obviously take a similar path as we just got its first body double in the face of the Samsung I9103 Galaxy R. With Tegra 2 stepping in for the Exynos chipset and SC-LCD taking the place of the new generation SuperAMOLED Plus, the Galaxy Z should be covering for the cases when the Gala...

The Samsung Galaxy R (also known as I9103) is the first handset to walk in the shoes of the Samsung Galaxy S II. A slightly stripped down version of Samsung`s flagship, it wears similar looks, packs an equally powerful core and only downgrades the......

Sometimes mobile phone companies make baffling decisions, in this particular case, they made a very powerful phone, then made an ever so slightly less powerful sibling, and priced them $50 apart. I'm talking about the powerhouse that is the Samsung Galaxy II and the phone we're reviewing today, the Samsung Galaxy R. The Samsung Galaxy R has a few minor and major differences when compared to the Galaxy S II, and costs about $50 with ...

Verdict: The Samsung Galaxy R has very few flaws, the only major flaw is the weak camera. Otherwise, the Galaxy R stands as an excellent phone on its own merits. But, the Galaxy S II is a much better phone, and if you have the extra $50 to spare, then please ...

We got over a thousand requests to review the Samsung Galaxy R especially after the price drop. The device originally launched at Rs. 27000, just a little shy of the price of the Galaxy S2, but now the phone is priced at a mere 20,800 , also available......

If you`re keen to get your hands on the Galaxy S2 but think it`s too expensive - the Samsung Galaxy R could be just what you`re looking for. It may have been launched as a `cheaper` alternative to Samsung`s 2011 flagship, but the Galaxy R sports similar specs. It comes with Nvidia`s 1GHz dual-core processor, compared to the S2`s 1.2GHz chipset. You`ll also find a smaller 4.2-inch Super LCD screen, although it boasts the same 480 x 800 pixels reso...

Best Features: Sleek Design, speedy performance

    Pros: looks, performance, speed, apps

Cons: battery (better than other android phones)

Overall: for 6 months i was browsing various phones, and decided to go for galaxy S2. But then i am not the one to go after the crowd so i went into more details, then i came across "the most ignored phone- Galaxy R". i bought it from Fipkart, and believ me guys in Rs21000/= you are getting the best. I dont wanna spend Rs7500/= just due to 8MP camera and 0.1inch extra screen. Practically using these 2 phones have almost same performance. i am a tech driven person and believe me if investing 7500 bucks would have bring me anything remarkable better i would have gone for S2. I recommend this product. I have used over 4 android viz Galaxy S2, HTC Desire, HTC Legend, Spice 350-n phone (on daily routine) but for me its Galaxy R.
