The Samsung i7500, known as Samsung Galaxy in some countries, is the first mobile phone manufactured by Samsung that uses the open source Android operating system.The i7500 is 3.5G smartphone, offering quad-band GSM and announced with tri-band HSDPA (900/1700/2100) at 7.2Mbps. The phone features a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen, a 5 Megapixel autofocus camera with power LED flash, and a digital compass. The i7500 has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and a Directional Pad in place of a trackball. Software-wise, the i7500 offers a suite of Mobile Google services, including Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, Google Calendar, and Google Talk. The phone’s GPS enables Google Maps features such as My Location, Google Latitude, and Street View. It also supports MP3, AAC (including iTunes Plus downloads), WMA audio, and H.264 video. A beta version of the Spotify music streaming service is also now available for this phone via the Android Marketplace.
Samsung Galaxy I7500 is the first Samsung phone running Android OS. It features 3.2-inch touch-sensitive AMOLED screen with a resolution of 320x480 pixels, 5MP camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, 8GB internal memory and microSDHC card slot.
The i7500 Galaxy has three obvious features when you pick it up: it's very slim at 11.9mm thick, it feels very light at 116g and the 3.2-inch screen might not seem very large, but it dominates the chassis. The screen also packs Samsung's latest OLED technology, which makes the display bright and vivid.It has a 5-megapixel camera and AMOLED display.
