Display and Design
The Samsung Z flaunts a stunning 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display offering videos and pictures at HD resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels, 16M colors and a rich pixel density of 306 ppi. Its body has a decent thickness of 8.5mm and is available in black and brown colors. The device flaunts a faux-leather back panel giving the device a premium look.
Processor and Platform
The processor running the show is 2.3GHz quad-core processor, coupled with a 2GB of RAM, ensuring a fast and seamless multitasking experience. It runs the all new Tizen OS along with a host of sensors like proximity, accelerometer, gyroscope, compass and barometer. The manufacturer claims that the OS offers quicker performance, faster web browsing and high quality multitasking. The home button has a fingerprint sensor and the rear panel has a heart rate monitor.
Camera and Storage
The smartphone comes with a powerful 8MP autofocus shooter supporting LED flash and geo tagging, at the back end. You can have fun with clear video calls and quality selfies via the 2.1MP front facing camera. An inbuilt memory of 16GB which can be upgraded up to 64GB offers sufficiently large storage space.
Battery and Connectivity
Connectivity and networking options included in the smartphone come in the form of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP and EDR, mobile hotspot, 3G, LTE, GPS with AGPS and GLONASS USB port, NFC and Infrared. It is fuelled by a Li-ion battery of 2,600mAh.
