  • Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro review: HD gets a Pro flavor
    GSMArena team
    04 Jun 2010 | gsmarena

Modern always-on web-connected generation need so much equipment to get through the day it’s a small wonder they don’t have to lug tool bags around – the small wonder in this case is the Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro. It’s a full-featured smartphone with a QWERTY keyboard for great messaging and 720p video recording, all in an impressively compact body. Verdict: WeÂ’ve had plenty of positive things to say about the Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro and some not so positive. In the end, itÂ’s how the pros and cons balance. It looks like a simple trade-off: still camera downgraded, QWERTY keyboard added. But hey, ...

After we already reviewed one of the buzz-worthy phones this spring, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, now we have the pleasure to run its keyboard-anointed sibling u2013 the Vivaz pro u2013 through its paces and see how it stacks up against it......

  • Take one Vivaz, add a keyboard and suddenly, you`re a pro
    Gareth Beavis
    21 Jun 2010 | techradar

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro is a phone that`s designed for the `power-user` - there`s no other way to look at it given that it`s pretty much a Vivaz with a full QWERTY keyboard on the back. The only other obvious change is a lower resolution camera bolted on the back - 5MP rather than 8MP, but it still records in HD. The phone itself is designed to fit dinkily in the hand, and compared to the original Vivaz it`s an impressive effort - if you were...

Pros: Phsyical keyboard, Decent music player, Compact design,

Cons: Cheap casing, Laggy UI, Slow browser, Over-complicated menus, Resistive screen, Average keyboard,

Verdict: The Vivaz Pro feels like a phone that`s been pushed out too early - it falls apart on far too many areas at too high a price to be considered in the same breath as the other heavyweights...

    07 Jun 2010 | pocket-lint

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro has landed, bringing a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to the company`s HD video-toting handset, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, which we reviewed earlier in the year. That summary does the Vivaz pro an injustice however: although it shares the same design and similar hardware, the character of the phone is different in several areas. The design sticks to Sony Ericsson`s "human design" ethos and like the Vivaz, it has that curved ba...

Pros: Great keyboard, camera performance, HD video capture, 3.5mm headphone jack, 8GB memory card

Cons: User interface isn't intuitive and is too fiddly, Twitter client lacks features, lack of apps in PlayNow, browser a little sluggish

Verdict: When we reviewed the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, we rated it a 6, praising the above average camera skills, but criticising the user interface. The Sony Ericsson Vivaz pro is a better phone for the inclusion of the keyboard, which we particularly like the f...

  • Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro - Part Two: user experience and applications `
    David Gilson
    24 Jun 2010 | allaboutsymbian

In part one of our Sony Ericsson Vivaz Pro review, David Gilson looked at the device`s ergonomic hardware design and camera performance. This time, David examines the user experience of Sony Ericsson`s implementation of S60 5th Edition and the Vivaz Pro`s software suite, before pronouncing a verdict - the device represents "an unfortunate set of contradictions". Read on for the full review....

Verdict: Given its name and keyboard, it is tempting to label the Vivaz Pro as an enterprise orientated version of the Vivaz. However, the lack of an editor for Office files, paltry battery life and even the flimsy space bar, all mean that is not quite there ...
