There`s an oft-used idiom about small packages, which frequently doesn`t apply to the world of technology. That`s to say that a diminished form factor often doesn`t bring the "best things" with it. For example, Sony`s NXT family members, revealed between CES and MWC, gifted consumers with the choice of three new handsets: the Xperia P, S and U. The last one in that list is by far the smallest, and in congruence with the general trend of mobile te...
The Sony Xperia U sits at the cheaper end of Sony`s range of Android smartphones, using similar styling to the much larger Xperia S and the slightly larger Xperia P and Xperia Miro, setting it apart from Sony`s rounder phones, including the rugged Sony Xperia Go and budget Xperia Tipo. The Sony Xperia U is the smallest of the three handsets, offering a 3.5-inch TFT display inside the same angular, black case as the Xperia S and Xperia P, and an o...
Pros: Solid construction, Clear display, Fast, smooth Android, Clever Facebook integration, Nice music player,
Cons: Awful 720p video, No SD card slot, Only 4GB storage, Browser looks dated, Stiff camera button,
The Sony Xperia U begs to be noticed with its removable bottom caps in different colors and boxy design, clearly aiming for the younger crowd, but its capable hardware and affordable price actually make it suitable for everybody. We have a dual-core......
Pros: Very good specs and design for the price ; Two seconds sleep-to-snap camera mode ; Good call quality ; Strong and clear loudspeaker ; Transparent strip illuminates with different colors
Cons: Subpar video quality ; No microSD slot ; Lack of oleophobic coating
Verdict: Sony has cut a few corners to achieve the very affordable price of the Xperia U, like the lack of oleophobic coating and microSD slot, but these are still overshadowed by the cool design and the contemporary specs like a dual-core processor and scree...
Despite some successes last year with devices like the Xperia Arc, Sony’s gotten off to a shaky start in 2012. It was first to market with a new flagship device, in the form of the Xperia S, only to be eclipsed just a month later by HTC One X. And with the formidable Samsung Galaxy S III looming, Sony’s flagship product looks set to remain on the sidelines. So could the Japanese manufacturer fare better in the entry-level space, with ...
Pros: Good build quality, solid specs and decent performance. Excellent value for money, and an ICS update due in the weeks ahead...
Cons: …but in the meantime, it’s yet another Gingerbread phone. Swappable plastic bottoms are a bit of a gimmick. Dismal 4GB of media storage. Over-compression issues with the video camera. A few intermittent software bugs.
Verdict: The Xperia U isn’t a flawless performance from Sony, but it is a nicely balanced entry-level handset all the same. The tiny amount of media storage, and lack of any expandable options, will be a deal-breaker for many. But around this price...
Overall User Rating (3 Out of 5 based on 4 ratings)
Pros: Great performance
Cons: The price
Overall: I bought this Sony Xperia and a lot of people told me to ICS, but I stuck to Gingerbread and I think it works best. A friend who upgraded his phone to IceCream Sandwich said that the phone faces too much lags and hangs. Even while making or receiving calls there is a lag time. So, don't fiddle too much with the technical aspects of this phone and it will serve you very well. That is what the chaps at MNV Collections told me when they sold it to me, and I am glad I listened to them. I totally love this phone.
Best Features: VERY GOOD INTERFACE,GOOD PERFORMANCE,UNLIMITED FUN
Pros: good smooth performance pixel density
Cons: just memory nothing else
Overall: this is an awesome phone from sony.it has good look, which is further enhanced by its beautiful bar of colours. It has on 1gHz*2 which means a dual core phone. It is capable of running hd as well as thd flawlessely.People question about its battery backup its battery backup is actually very good.People who say battery life is low are BULLSHIT.If u continue to use the phone without stopping the n of course its battery will drain.DUMB PEOPLE FORGET TO CLOSE THE APPS RUNNING IN BACKGROUND DUAL CORE WILL RUN ALL THE APPS IN BACKGROUND BUT AT THE COST OF BATTERY AND DUMBER ARE THOSE WHO USE TASK KILLER OR BATTERY SAVER APPS INTELLIGENT ARE THOSE CLOSE APPS IN BACKGROUND BY LIMITING THE PROCESSES. SONY PHONES ARE VERY AWESOME WHICH MAKE THEM DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS.THATS THE POWER OF SONY LOVE U SONY
Overall: i got my xperia u 3 days before and the phone is simply supper, frnds go for it u will enjoy the mobile.
