Overall: I have purchased this laptop in Aug, 2013. Considering the brand Toshiba and offering at this cheap rates I thought of going for C850-I0015. The day this lappy has come it is lying useless. After installing Win 7, it ran dammn slow. 15 mins to boot. (WTF). 5-10 min to open any application, eventhough only MS-Office 2010 was installed. Checked with RAM and everything. Thought that might be 2GB were not enough. So was going to upgrade the RAM but then the Dealer in our city Baroda told that this is the worst series by Toshiba. In a race to increase market share this company has compromised on quality of the parts used. He told me not to upgrade the RAM but instead go to service centre and get the Hard Disk change. This happens in all the laptops of this series. So i went to service centre. And GOD I got the surprise of my life !! You cant just walk in a Toshiba Sevice Centre. You have to 1st register your complain on their toll free no (which will again take atleast 25 mins to pick up) and then they will forward to any of their service centtres in ur city in a day or two. then the service centre guys will call you and ask for another week as they are loaded with the same complain and they dont have the hard drives in stock to replace them. SUCKERS !! I have registered the complaint on 17th Sep,2013 and still waiting for my HARD DRIVE to come (from where ??? do they import the hard drive or what ??? ). The service centre are also in pathetic condition and totally unprofessional. I think Toshiba as a Brand has now compromised on quality. Mr. Sachin Tendulkar please don't continue to be a Brand Ambassador of such a cheap brand.
