Affordable Android Smartphone
Display and Configuration
The Videocon A23 sports a 3.5-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen with a pixel density of 165ppi and a low resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, also known as HVGA resolution. It runs Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS out of the box and is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1GHz working in combination with a mere 256MB of RAM. The user is bound to face problems while multi tasking or loading apps.
Camera and Storage
Coming to the camera optics, the Videocon A23 has a decent 3MP shooter at the rear end plus a VGA snapper on the front panel. A 512MB of internal storage capacity adds to the userÂs worries of running a number of apps at the same time. However, the smartphone has a microSD slot expandable up to 16GB.
Battery and Connectivity
The connectivity and networking options loaded in the Videocon A23 include dual SIM slots, WiFi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, 3G, USB port, GPS with AGPS and GPRS with EDGE. A Li-ion battery of just 1,450mAh wonÂt be able to deliver a continuous supply for a long time.
Although the Videocon A23 looks stylish, it scores average on many fronts. Except the fact that it supports 3G despite being available at a low price, it doesn't have anything to boast about. You can buy it if you are looking for a cheap smartphone.
