The ViewPad 10s is virtually identical to the Advent Vega except that it comes with a 16GB memory card rather than 4GB. The rest is the same: a 10.1in screen, a dual-core 1GHz processor and Android 2.2 (Froyo) are the highlights, and the price is slightly higher, partly reflecting the cost of the larger microSD card. It`s not to be confused with the standard ViewPad 10 (part code VPAD10_AHEU_50) which is a dual-boot tablet running both Windows 7 ...

Verdict: A fast and well-built Android tablet, but Advent's Vega is better value....

There is a ludicrously thin 9.7-inch shadow over tablet releases at the moment. The iPad 2 has landed, and we judged it the best tablet yet. However, that doesn`t stop the march of Apple`s competitors. We first saw the ViewSonic ViewPad 10s at CES, and we quite liked it. However, we also remember the pitiful excuse for modern electronics that is the ViewPad 10 (Note the lack of `s`). Fortunately, the ViewPad 10s has much more in common with the M...

Pros: Nice design, Fast web browsing, Good price, Responsive touchscreen, USB hosting,

Cons: Not a tablet UI, No Google apps, Poor viewing angles, Annoying performance glitches, No built-in memory and won`t connect to PC over USB,

Verdict: Though it isn`t a total tablet disaster, we simply can`t recommend the ViewPad 10s over the competition....

ViewSonic`s latest 10in tablet is a vast improvement on its last effort, but is it enough to take on the might of Apple?...

Verdict: Fast, feature-packed and reasonably priced, but the screen is poor and there`s no support for Android Market...
