For driving its processes, the Xiaomi Redmi 2A is packed with a 1.5GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor based on Leadcore L1860C chipset. It is paired with 1GB RAM and Mali T628MP2 GPU to ensure smooth and powerful management of standard applications. One of the key features of the phone is the latest Android v5.0 Lollipop platform dressed in MIUI 6.0.

The Xiaomi Redmi 2A has been spotted with an 8MP autofocus camera at the back which is inclusive of LED flash and BSI sensor and can capture full HD videos at 30fps frame rate.
