Hey guys i am writing this review after tinkering around 2-3 hours with the phone. First of all, flipkart deserves a huge applause for delivering the phone within just two days of the order. Coming to the package contents, you will be getting a nice leather window flip cover and a clear screen guard along with all other standard accessories like charger, earphone, etc. I especially liked the flip cover. The earphone is better to be kept apart and another branded earphone should be used.nnThe phone has got a very nice & unique design and it really feels premium in hands. The back cover of the phone feels good and its quite like the oneplus sandstone. In the front side, the navigation keys are backlit which is a feature kind of missing in other phones in this price range. Flash light is present for both the cameras and that is really awesome. The phone comes with stock Android Lollipop 5.1 and it is the best thing that Alcatel has done with the phone. Smart gestures are icing on the cake. I bet you will forget the power button after enabling the smart gestures in the settings. Double tap to wake and double tap to sleep are really working good. Turning on the phone for the first time you will be getting 1.5GB RAM free out of 2GB and this is really great though after installing more apps it will get reduced a bit. Also, out of 16GB memory you will have aroud 11GB usable memory and that can be expanded by using a SD card. And yes, apps can be moved to the sd card, there is an option for it in the settings. Played some 320kbps MP3 files and the sound output was good but not best. Its kind of felt distorted but manageable. The phone has got a good display also. Though it is 720p display but is very much sharp, crisp and vibrant. Viewing angles are also good but the top portion during landscape viewing felt quite dull. Played 1080p & 720p videos and the phone played it equally well without any distortions or lag both in S/W and H/W mode in MX Player. Battery backup seems to be good but i have not tested it for a day so i am not writing much in this regard.nnComing to the main highlighted point about camera as advertised during the alcatel flash 2 promotions, what i felt is that the camera is not up to the mark and there is nothing special about the camera. I shot some pics outdoor with both the rear & front cameras and the results were quite good but the cameras struggled big time during indoor/low light shots. So, users expecting a first class camera from it be aware. Though, users who have photography knowledge can do some changes in the manual settings and the photos may come good but for general users like me depending solely upon automatic settings the camera may not appeal to you. Anyways, its a 9.3K phone and what more can you expect, You have got everything.nnSo, in a nutshell it is indeed a good phone to have and will definitely win many hearts. If your budget is 10k simply buy this and enjoy. You get a good looking and powerful phone.

As usual great service by Flipkart _/\_ nAbout Phone, 3 days review: nUnboxing: nPackaging is perfect with all accessories included with flip cover (You must be knowing after watching review on YouTube) nDesign: nIts a superb phone. Ditto design of OnePlus One :) Those who can't afford OnePlus One should go for this device. The green ring at back camera and at front make phone more attractive. nCamera: nThose who have written that 13 MP is not upto the mark and all. Its not like that as screen have 294 ppi so photos in camera after zooming doesn't looks great which make user to say bad about camera. I bet, in laptop or in PC it''ll look perfect. nFront camera have flash, day light photography with front cam is cool but low light is not upto the mark. Its satisfactory but that not decent. nnRear camera is superb in day as well as low. Flash is excellent. nWhat I love about flash is it can be switched ON continuously. I mean, when in all flash phones you try to snap in low light you don't see anything. Hence, you click and then look, was that perfect but in this phone you can switch that on continuously like torch and it helps you for a easy click.Same with front cam. Shutter speed is exceptionally fast. nYou can take quick shot while your phone is at sleep. nFirst boot: nDue to stock ROM, 11 GB of user available phone memory you get and 1.2 GB (One of the review have written 1.5 GB but I didn't get that) nPerformance, Touch and others: nBeing an octa core processor and 2 GB RAM, its a awesome performer. Not at all any lag while playing heavy games. I found touch average. Its not like other phones, I mean its not much fluid but I hope, update will make it decent. Also, touch is responsive. Who have written less responsive and all no its not like that. Speaker are loudest. Actually, at full volume, the sound is so big that you need to keep a point or two low while playing songs. Headphone looks great but are of average quality.nnMost important, battery: n5" phone with 3000 mAh battery is perfect. Greatest mAh in 5" phone are as folloes:n1) Lenovo Vibe P1m -- 4000 mAhn2) Alcatel Flash 2 -- 3000 mAhn3) Samsung J5 -- 2600 mAhnIndeed, it lay in middle. nOn the 1st day, I didn't use much but on next day. I took phone charging with 100% and luckily I shoot a film for near about 3 hours and with 3 hours of calling without internet so after coming home, battery % was 38. Therefore, I find it perfect.nOn 2nd day, it was Sunday, I brought the phone around 65% (I don't remember exactly) nMiscellaneous:nMost important, SAR value is low.nSupports OTG.nLight weight.nNo heating issue. nLED notification, only White in color.nSmart gesture (You can Google it to know, what it is!)nDouble tap to wake and sleep (Same like Asus Zenfone 2 Laser)nMost important, camera button.nTakes 1.40 hours to gets full charge from 0% so less as compared to all others. nIf compared it with Zenfone 2 Laser then: nDisplay -- Asus Wins.nSound -- Alcatel Wins.nPerformance -- Alcatel Wins by 2 sec (Asus opens app after 2 sec after clicking on any app)nBattery -- Equal. nCons: nDisplay is not sharp as I said.nDragon Tail 2.nRather I didn't find anything else.nBut that's fine in this price range. nIf you must be thinking why ALCATEL, why not ASUS?nThen,nScreen Size.nHeavy UI of Asus gives you 10 GB user available.nDoesn't have Front Flash.nDesign for handling as due to shape and screen size, Alcatel is better.nAlso, Nokia bought Alcatel in 16 billion dollar so trustworthy. nWorth buy in 9.3k (y) :*

Doubts which I had before purchasing it n OTG supportable ? YES nn Call Recording ? YES nn Heating ? NO , Not at all nn Call Quality ? Great ! Video Calling ..Definitely yes nn High end games .? Received the phone within 48 hrs. Excellent service from Flipkart. nnAbout the phone.. First impression.. nDesign - 7/10 - Looks solid. Just that the screen to body ratio is not so great. Looks lengthy. nPerformance - 6/10 - The feather touch - back button - sometimes not responsive - may be I should get used to it or there is a problem with this piece. The swipe is not responsive consistently - lags now and then. This is not pure stock android. nDisplay 7/10 - For the screen size, It could have been slightly higher in ppi. I have used moto 1g before, this looks slightly step down. nBattery 8/10 - Looks promising. It had 70% battery when turned ON - that lasted for the about 12hrs - with the screen time of 6hrs. nnThough it packs an in-ear earphones, the quality could have been better. Happy about the flip cover - good quality. nnFor this price, this is a decent buy.

I am updating my review after 5 months of use. with recent OS updatenmost the problems were solved and value for money...............nI trust WS Retail and Flipkart.nAndroid Features are good. size and weight, separate camera button nice. nOverall appearance is good but technically not up to the mark.n1. camera is very slow,that's why blurred pictures.n2. Hanging even when using single app.n3. gestures not working.nAlcatel or any company shall remember that quality is importance not the cost. Only low cost phone sales may be high during launching time but after going through reviews one may not prefer.nI am modifying my review after using for almost 20days.neverything is good except 2 problems.n1. Wifi : once u disconnected from wifi, you can't connect the same wifi without rebooting the device.n2. proximity sensor not working. nexcept these minor problems may be my device specific, Flash2 is value for money and very good device.
