Before buying this phone a major concern I had was about its lower Resolution. However upon using it I can confirm it is not an issue. What I have observed is that it is the capture resolution of the photo or video that matters and the lower screen resolution does not cause a problem. So when I checked the photos shot with an SLR and a HD video, they appeared very fine on this phone's screen. In day to day usage you will not feel resolution is low.nnBrightness level is higher than ordinary phones and with full brightness the phone is fair enough to see in direct sunlight.nnDesign is extremly good, a 10/10. The build quality is very high. Micromax , lava and such others do not stand in competition. The screen uniquly appears as a seperate plate placed on the body. Not seen in any other model.nnvolume of the built in speaker is a clear dissapointment. It is very low. I was able to overcome this by using one of the 'AS Volume booster' application for Android market but still it has only come to satisfactory level. So if you are a loud listner or run songs and dance with friends the dont go for it. nnBluetooth driver is hard to find and not available in windows update store. Some laptops have proprietary bluetooth stack that is on top of Microsoft bluetooth stack and hence the phone fails to connect with them due to lack of drivers. I am working with a website called bluetoothinstaller dot com to solve this matter (without success yet). May be this works well with Windows 8nnnThe phone connects to other nearby phones bluetooth without any problem, Non Alcatel as well.nnHowever, there was NO problem experienced connecting with USB (I am running windows 7). I was also able to find some extra USB drivers for this phone on the support site.nnn512MB of RAM is not a problem if you are a regular phone and basic games user. I am also using 'Go task manager' that helps me make the most out of available memory. TIP: The phone comes loaded with a lot of applications. Do remove the unwanted, especially NIMBUZZ and that will speed up the phone.nnA special note that Battery is embeded and cannot be removed so this limits the usable life of this phone to 4-5 years only, just in case you are looking forward to use it futher! The 2500mh definatly has an edge and lasts longer. To my surprise it charges quite fast as compared to the battery of an XOLO A700 that I have.nnAlso note that both SIM slots are microSIM so you would have to get the SIM's cut/trimmed. nnPrimary camera quality is fair enough and after improving with photoshop photos are even good enough to print. secondary camera is low so video callers dont buy this.nnTethering and GPS work superfast! nnThe Alcatel Lucent branding is at par with some of the biggest names in Telecom Industry, also in India they have tied up with SALORA for after sales service and thus have wide network of service centers, They are providing 1 year warranty on set and 6 months on accessories.nnOverall: IN THIS BUDGET,its a Steal. The phone is very close to Samsung NOTE in looks and very elegant (black colour only). Comes with a detachable flip cover, stylus and quality accessories. I am just loving it (As of now, lets hope it goes same way :)

Dear All,nnLike most of you who would be reading this review, I also looked at many websites before buying this Phone and unfortunately not much details are present so I kind of gambled and went ahead to buy it...and now I must admit that I am all praise for this phone...nnBox contains: Stylus, Scratch Guard, Magic Flap (Do not believe sites which claim these things are coming under some offer etc)nnI will answer some common apprehensions about the phone:nPhone is charging from Car Charger (Standard Samsung charger), USB Cable (all makes), Other phone chargers...however it was not charging from one LG phone charger which I had (not sure which model)nPhone Speaker is decent but it is at back side so phone needs to be upside down for better audio deciblesnCamera is just OK (If you give Nokia Lumia-720 10/10 then it is 7/10)nPlease do online system update once after buying to remove known bugsnnLet me mention Pros and Cons of the phone too:nnPros:nVFM for sure (Build Quality is excellent at par with any good phone)nIt has almost all features which SmartPhone should have (I guess only things missing are HDMI, NFC and DLNA unless that is specific requirement of anyone it suffices all needs)nBattery life (One weird thing though 100% to 80% happens in flash but after that it stabalizes and runs through 1.5 days...Temple Run, GPS Navigations eats battery like anything which is true in all SmartPhones I guess)nScratch resistant Dragon glass is big bonusnPhone catches eyes of all and it becomes instant hit among your friends and colleaguesnnCons:n1 Sim is 2g and another 3g also slots can be easily opened from outside unlike in Nokia 720 or i PhonesnMany times video or some other applications just refuse to play, after several more attempts they run (I would be glad if someone can help in resolving this issue)nStylus quality could have been better with some room of holding it in phonenAlcatel Branding (If that matters to anyone)nnBluetooth,USB,GPS, Teethering all are working fine without complaints.nnGo for it in case you are confused in buying this phone ...One request is do not compare it with 30k phones it is best in price what you pay for...Thanks for reading this review and have a nice day!!

Dragon Tail Glass glass comes with only some new mobiles like sony Experia Z but Alcatel One Touch Scribe Easy has it. nnCamera Features- Auto Focus, Geo-tagging, Touch Focus, Face and Smile Detection, Image Stabilization, 3D Sweep Panorama, Red-eye Reduction, Scene Recognition, Self-timer, Image EditornnIt has many Sensors-nAccelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Gyroscope, Barometer Sensor, Digital Compass, Light Sensor

At the given price point and features this is a great buy. Bought it from flipkart got 8 GB kingston micro SD card free worth 400/- which was a surprise not mentioned on the site. Costed Rs 9884/- with 3 EMI and 5% discount on credit card purchase.nnPros -n1. Battery life is good for talk time. ( Drains fast on 3G/internet, same as any other phone)n2. Touch screen scratch resistant glass.n3. Beautiful looks.nnCons -n1. Magnetic flip cover looks nice but is not convenient to use while talking on the phone. Chances of flip cover getting lost is very high. Accessories not available separately.Lost mine within week of purchase.n2. Car charging is a big problem. Compatible car charger listing is not available. Accessory for same is also not available from Alcatel in India or in flipkart till date. Have wasted 600 bucks so far for car charger. As mentioned by other reviewers tried Samsung Orginal car charger which worked for my car and phone. Samsung Car Adapter Model ACADU10CBE. Although the box says 5W, output 5 VDC, 1 A the rating on the adapter sticker print mentions 5.0V = 700mA. Hope this helps others in deciding compatible car charger. Have not tested this yet on long drive. n3. Compatible flip covers from any 3rd party not available in the market. Only one seller selling pouch for this phone on eBay.in which is not a convenient option.nnOthers -n1. Both SIM are micro SIM on the phone.n2. I am not a gamer and have not tested gaming on this phone. RAM has not been a problem for me due to my usage pattern. n3. Internet browsing experience is good on 3G no issues so far. Tried Facebook, yahoo, gmail, new flipkart app released today and other mobile banking apps etc. Works perfectly.

I bought this phone last year; I'm not happy with its performance and paid 12K. After few months phone wasn’t working. I'd to literally chase Flipkart and Alcatel guys to provide service for my phone (under warranty) . After 2 months I got call from Alcatel and they gave me the details of service center...waste of money. Also, this phone gets heated and battery sucks
