I bought Pocketsurfer 5X 2 months ago and have had a horrible experience. The device is not getting charged and there are no support service centers anywhere. Although the company gave me the names of two, they refused to entertain. I travelled all the way - some 25-30 kms after calling them. When I phoned them up, they had told me that they can suggest only after seeing the device. Then, when I went all the way, they gave all kinds of excuses and refused to oblige since it was under warranty period and under warranty, these service centers do not earn anything. I spent 2 liters of petrol and half-a-day in my effort to set the device set right but in vain. I called the Amritsar office again and they asked me to send the device to their service center there. I had to struggle to pack the device in a safe box with good packing material. It cost me courier charges that would make it totally meaningless to even send it across. I have no hopes of getting it resolved since I have seen the reviews of people who have bought other devices of Ubislate - the company that manufactures these products. The local service center guys also told me that the service and support offered by the company is very poor. I strongly suggest everybody out there planning to buy this product or other products of Ubislate to stop themselves from doing so howsoever tempting the products may look like or with regard to the price and features. Go for good brands like nokia, samsung, sony or even panasonic although they may cost more. Don't experiment with this company's products. They are all horrible. I lost Rs. 3750/- because I knew nothing about this company. I learnt my lessons the hard way. I hope this review would make you do a little bit of searching on google and other sites to see and decide for yourself. Just google it out for yourself about the product and you will find negative reviews for not just this product but all products of Ubislate. Thanks.

I bought it, and very soon its battery got draining faster... I submitted it for repair and and I waited for more than a month for reply from any of customer care or service centre guys, but I did not get any reply from them. I called for several times and then I mailed my problem to customer care. Then, I was told to contact service centre, again I contacted, and I was told the spare is going to cost me Rs.3200/- which was shocking to me. the tab I bought for Rs. 3999/- was asking me for more 3200 bux under warranty period. That means, I have bought this product for 7200/- isnt it,,,.?? in this price I could have brought quite good tab in the market.n.n.nThis was worst ever experience I had in my life.n.n.nDatawind, you deserve my spit on your face.n.n.nGuys, if you want a pathetic electronic experience, then I would suggest you to instantly buy this product.n.nm1m to Datawind.

I don't know y these people go for low cost and expect features like in apple & Samsung..Then complaining here and confusing others..Finally i tell you,,This product is low cost,avg buy make you own a tablet..Thats it..

I dont know if everyone is acting stupid or they are initiallynFrom the specs only it tells us that this tablet is best for kids between 8-15yrsnwhen u want so many things why u are buying this tablet??ngo for Tegra,Tab Pro,Nexus 7 n other high end stuffsnnIf anyone wants to give this to a child its good thennI dont have this but my friend has.and i saw that it does a pretty great job for his brother whos on Std 6nnIts good in its own quality whereas My Nexus 7 and Tab 2 are good in their own statenSo please dont confuse the buyers everyone

Good and cheap tablet that you could get. phablet, can be used as a phone, although you'll have to create contacts in the tablet memory, sim memory can't be used for calling. GPRS connection is fairly good speed. just insert the sim and start surfing. Download speed is very low though. In built educational softwares and games; would be a good gift for a kid upto 12th std. Battery back up is fair. In built pdf readers, web browser, document editor and reader (Kings office), and many other useful. In built memory is low. They said it's 2 gb, but only 500 MB is available when i tried to copy files from my laptop to this device.nnLack of wifi is a drawback, but i think you can connect an android enabled wifi adapter.
