The X Factor in HTC Desire X DS

I would recommend to list down and prioritize your requirements first before choosing any product and secondly admit the fact that "Every product will be superseded by other(in technology and price), so you can't get the best product but you can make the product , the best of yours".nn The fact is its really complicated to choose a mobile without above recommendations.n n I had been comparing the mobiles under 16K with dual Sim for past 3 months. The products which I had taken for comparison are Samsung - S Duos, Core, Quattro and HTC - Desire V, Desire U(replaced desire V), Desire X DS and some products in Sony, LG, Nokia.nn My requirements were an elegant looking (especially white) mobile with attractive gestures, decent graphics for gaming, pleasant music experience and of course smooth surfing (incl FB & Whatsapp...).nn I found HTC Desire X DS suits my requirements at the most. Out of my 2 weeks experience nnPros aren# Awesome external finishing with great white look - HTC polar white is unique.. try that!!n# Super LCD2 screen - whether others mostly have TFTn# HTC sense 4+ Interface- I am addicted to it!n# 1 GHZ Dual Core processor - More than enough for the mobiles in this rangen# Auto Call forwarding option - To compensate Smart Dual Active (in Dual SIM Phones)n# Car Mode - The mode which is very useful while you are drivingn# Decent Camera - 5 MP nice to have with LED FlashnnOn Parn< 768 MB RAM - Compact for this configuration but if you are a full time gamer it may disappoint youn< Battery - Charge stands for 1 Day & 14 hours of usage with full time 3G activation - quite decentn< Beats Audio - It’s okay but not promisingn< One click power saver - nice tryn< Improved Galley LooknnConsn> Gets heat after 2 hours of usage (due to Dual core processor - think of Quattro (quad core).... :-(n> No HD.....n> Not both SIMs are 3G its 3G+GSMn> Little Costly for the features- don't know why HTC has limited models which are costliernn Previously I had HTC desire C and it got hanged up, soft keys weren't working where I had been forced to scarp it literally.nn After that many advised me not to go for HTC but I believed HTC has thin element which supersedes other brands it may be gesture or appearance or interface, where HTC is the best. Believe it or not once you used to HTC you need to think a lot before switching to other brand - it’s nothing but HTC sense.nn Hope you got a better picture on this mobile.... One last thing.... never drop your mobile even throwing in bed/ pillow... which caused my HTC desire C to behave abnormal.. Whatever may be your mobile.. take care of it.

DONT BUY IT! WORST PHONE EVER....A BIG DISSPOINTMENT

I bought HTC Desire X very fondly. It did run very smoothly for first 5 months. I totally loved it. Then slowly my phone started giving me problems. Games like temple run, Subway surf , Cut the rope started to hang and worst ever NETWORK ISSUES. nI started getting tired of the 5 transparent signal lines with a small white "X" above them telling me that there was no signal in my region when my friends having the same service provider were getting strong signal strength.I thought there must be a problem with my sim. But i got it checked. My sim was fine, the phone was the culprit! nAs my phone was in warranty i took it to the service center. But to no avail. I started getting the problem again!nDont believe me? Surf the net and you will see many troubled customers like me who are dealing with network issues with their HTC Handsets.nPlease save yourself from this pain and suffering and buy ANY other phone but this!nAnyways, if you still want to go ahead with this hell of a device, well my best wishes to you. Hope you dont suffer the same fate as mine :)nBesties

True colors in just 2 weeks

I bought the HT C desire X Dual Sim phone just 2 weeks back, and it started showing its true colors. It started getting restarted automatically in the second week, even though when kept idle. It used to happen for 5-6 times a day.nnWhen contacted the customer care, they asked me to do some settings even after which the problem continued. After which the service center people directly told me that it has to be sent for a repair. Why the hell should I waste my time and money for such a crap device which had bugs, Cant the HT C people take the responsibility for this.nnOtherwise the phone is fine, as it is dual Sim the network gets switched off frequently, about which i wont say anything. But the occurrence of restart issue so frequently in a set which is just 2 weeks old in NOT ACCEPTABLE.

Pathetic HTC

Update 17/Oct/2013nnCalled HTC again as this has become a pain up my a$$ to receive over a 100 messages every hour. The girl who picked up the phone was ill trained. She told me it wasnt HTC problem as Android was Google product and Jelly Bean had no option to disable it, so I would have to live with it. This is a completely pathetic answer! She was repeating that it had nothing to do with HTC and it is Google's problem. LOL. Die HTC die. (HTC, if you ever read this, the complaint number is 13ind420005795)nnI am going to take these guys to consumer court if this doesnt get resolved asap.nnn----nI had ordered one of these and as someone had said earlier, there is a massive bombardment of cell broadcast messages. These messages would not let me do anything at all as they are popping up every minute. I just got off the phone with HTC on this and what the guy had to say was "Saar, HTC dual SIM phones do not have option to disable cell broadcast. You need to call the service provider." Pray tell me why are you selling phones which have problems like these.nnI am an old school fellow and had a poor 3K dual SIM Samsung phone earlier which worked very well for me, other than the lack of 3G. Seems like I will have to donate this new phone to someone and go back to my old phone itself.nn I inserted the SIM and activated and then deactivated the cell broadcast on this SIM through my old samsung dual sim phone. However, cell broadcast messages are still popping up on the HTC when that same SIM is used on this phone. nnnAgreed, I may not be very tech savvy but I wonder if all people buying phones like these are super geeks who know how to (and have time) tackle problems like these. Pathetic! nnnMoreover, no user guides/manuals with the phone?

Great phone but....

Hi all I didnt buy this phone from flipkart but ya since i m a regular customer here i think its my duty to direct people over issues i found with the phone.nnIf you know what CB messages are then its fine otherwise just google it and you will know how terrible they are if you arent able to deactivate them. They just come popping on your screen all the time. the biggest problem with this phone is there is no option to deactivate those flash messages. Every time you go to a new area these messages get accumulated on your screen sometimes to the tune of 15-30 flash messages. and no your service provider cannot deactivate those messages for you. neither any spam filter will help.nnMy advice : Dont go for it. At times one gets frustrated. HTC customer care is pathetic. They too dont have solution over these messages. Solutions provided on various sites dont work. so beware..
