Some Technical issue

First of all this phone comes with jellybean OS, thats it, you cannot upgrade the same after that, yes its not upgradable.nnSecond. after using this phone for couple of days, i found that suddenly network in both the sim card vanishes every hour, so i have to switch off and on the phone to get back the network to use data and voice service, you have to constantly remove phone from your pocket and see whether network is there or not, so that you dont miss any important calls or messages.nnI have requested flipkart to replace the phone at the earliest, lets see what happens next, i would suggest not to go for cheap androids but to prefer better phones by paying a little more.nnNo issues with flipkart, as usual i receive my product delivered well before time.nnAmit

Value for money. EDIT But not worth as a phone!

I had been closely following the Karbonn Titanium S5 since its launch. The specs looked too good to be true for the price being quoted and no retailer had the actual handset; there weren't even online reviews on YouTube!!! So it was pretty much a gamble when I went ahead and ordered this phone on Flipkart. Flipkart lived up to its reputation and delivered the box to my door well within 2 days!nnLooks :nThe phone looks absolutely beautiful. Looks like a slightly bigger, thinner version of Samsung Galaxy S3 without the metal band around the edges. Feels very premium in your hands. The only flip-side is that the shiny surfaces are highly prone to fingerprints. You might want to get a pouch or cover.nnSpecs :nnThe scores should do the talking all by themselves! :-)nThe stock version of Android Jelly Bean is an absolute delight to use given the kind of specs the phone boasts!nnCamera and Media :nThe 8MP primary camera performs very well as a point and shooter. The video recording also is nothing to complain about. Haven't really used the front facing camera as of yet except to click a few test images which turned out satisfactory for 2MP.nMedia play back is quite smooth, even HD videos from YouTube played quite well. The speaker output is actually a big letdown considering that fact that the Indian phones typically tend to have the loudest loudspeakers! nnGaming and Browsing : nI am not a huge gamer. The normal games like Temple Run which are benchmarks for testing phone performance run very well without glitches. Internet browsing, navigation, pinch zoom and all the regular operations work seamlessly.nnOverall I am very happy with my phone given the fact that I seem to be getting almost everything I can think of for around 12K. Being a person who changes phones every year, this works out to be a truly good buy for me!nn+++++++++++++++++++nNOTE : Review after a month of use :n+++++++++++++++++++nEverything that i said still holds true but I have encountered a MAJOR problem. The phone drops the mobile network every so often. And the problem sort of aggravates over time. Initially in the first week of use. Once I saw the "Mobile Network not available" message. I quickly restarted the phone and forgot about it. In the last week. Before every single call, I have had to restart the phone. Today morning, I have restarted the phone 4 times already, I still don't have a mobile network on this smart phone. Ultimately, the phone is for calling and this phone has failed me miserably.nnI am really sorry my earlier review confused people and probably helped them choose this phone. So let me rectify the mistake. This phone is not worth it. As a phone, buy a Nokia phone for 2K to get better "phone" performance.nnVERDICT : Do NOT BUY THIS PHONE!

A BRILLIANT PRODUCT

Well first of all let me make it clear that someone named AMIT ANAM wrote in his review that this phone is not upgradable any further. n1. I would like to inform all of you that this phone contains android version 4.1.2 (JB). The 4.2 version released is only for Nexus devices and UK based Samsung Galaxy SIII.n2. I have been using this phone for 1 month now with both sim cards and there hasn't been a single problem with network.nnNow let look at the PROS:n1. 1.2 Ghz quad core Qualcomm Scorpion processor is more than you need even for excessive gaming. Games like FIFA, RF2013, Nova 3, Dead Trigger run like buttery smooth.n Antutu BenchMark Test score after getting a class 6 sd card is 10880.n2. Internal memory might be a little low but you can always transfer your games and apps to sd using AppMgrIII, provided you use a class 6 sd card.(Class 10 not required).n3. The qHD display is awesome and I could hardly see any difference with MMX Canvas HD.n4. Touch response is super smooth with absolutely no lags what so ever.n5. I was spellbound by the cameras.n i. Primary camera is of superb quality. Full points to that. Awesome pics taken by me. Get SLR like feeling with touch focus. Record 720p HD videos with auto focus feature that itself focusses regularly on objects.n ii. Secondary Camera is brilliant. If there is ample light to your face your friend will be awestruck by the camera quality. My friend didn't believe I was chatting with this phone.n6. Sensors work fine. Nothing much to say. GPS is quite good.n7. Battery backup is a good 1.5 days for normal usage. But I am a heavy gamer with around 2hrs gaming each day and around 1 hr of talking, 15 mins of video chat. 10-15 pics a day drains out my battery in around 24 hrs.n8. Feel of the phone is great in your hand. A retailer recently saw the phone in my hand and he hadn't seen an S5 then. He took full 20 mins praising it.nnNow the cons:n1. The volume rockers on the left are a bit soft. I don't get a clicky feel when I use them. But they do their job easily. Might be a problem with my handset only.n2. The back cover gets heated up after 15 mins of game play. But the temperature remains constant and is not of an alarm after that.n3. Though there is a screen guard provided with it, Karbonn should have provided a flip case with the box. It would be highly appreciated.nnAt last a device worth waiting for.

awsome.............

nice phone with snapdragon quadcore processor... n8 m p camera.nreally a nice budget phone for them who wants their work faster from anywhere not for gaming...nkarbonn had started using snapdragon processors while other indian products using mediatech and other cheap processors.....nConclusion: Micromax A116 Canvas HD vs Karbonn S5 TitaniumnWell, if your primary concern is gaming you must consider Micromax Canvas HD. But if you are a casual gamer and you need to a good looking smartphone with some cool hardware specs go for Karbonn S5 Titanium. This will save money and time as well.

Not great as you think it is

The problem with this phone is that Qualcomm Quad Core processor has Adreno 203 GPU which cannot handle 1080p videos and high end games.nnMediaTek processor on the other hand (which are used by MMX,UMI,GIONEE,XOLO,etc) can easily handle 1080p videos and high end games.nnSo Qualcomm Quad Core (used in this phone) is somewhat equivalent to MediaTek dual core in gaming and video playback section...nnIn other section it does score good!
