I bought the Lava Ivory E Tablet as a learning toy for my kid as interestingly enough, most other educational toys were actually more expensive than it and did less than the tablet. So this review is for the perspective education tool rather than a smart gadget.nDesign and buildnThe Ivory E Tab is quite plain and simple looking aside for the dual tone back. However, the large bezels on the front have an unexpected upside in the fact that there is enough space to stick some colourful stickers. The tablet is pretty light weight and can be held comfortably by children. The tablet has been dropped countless times and been held by greasy and dirty hands, but there hasn’t been much damage to the tablet except some scratches and dings.nHardware and softwarenThe Ivory comes with a 1.3 Ghz dual core Mediatek processor and 1 Gb of Ram that run Android 4.2 Jelly bean OS. The older version of android doesn’t actually matter to me as it is being used by my kid. The games and apps being run on the device are quite simple and run without a hitch. I am using a microsd card with the tablet as the 4 GB internal memory of the phone is definitely not enough for a device such as this.nDisplay and multimedianThe 7 inch display of the tablet is almost perfect for toddlers. The resolution of the screen is also pretty good and it is a simple job of putting on ‘Frozen’ or cartoons on YouTube and i get peace and quiet for at least 2 hours. the display quality is quite colourful and viewing angles are quite decent. The speaker quality is quite nice and clear. nValue for moneynThe best part about the Ivory E tab is without a doubt the low price of the tablet. Instead of buying one or two expensive educational toys, i simply bought the tablet and i get a ton of educational and entertainment toys in one. Not only that, even if it does get spoilt, getting a new one isn’t that big of a deal. Although I would suggest that you also buy a case and a screen guard for the device.

today i bought this tab from a retailer. it is having only 512 mb ram. we checked 3 more new tabs. the problems persists. lava ivory e tab is only 512 mb ram tab. please dont get mis guided. its great cheating by lava . ithink flipkart should be responsible in checking it. pls change the specification to 512 ram.

i have purchased lava tablet with Flipkart, the tablet showing 1 gb ram, but they delivered me defected product its showing 312 mb used and 200 mb free.nnso i have complaint to flipkart and request for returning this tablet,nafter 10 times calling then they replaced tablet,nntoday Flipkart delivered me new tablet with with same ram problem and one new hanging problemni cant using tablet becoz tablet is hanged & Stuck.

To be honest, the extremely low price of the Lava Ivory E Tablet is the biggest reason why i bought it. But even for its low cost, the Ivory E Tab comes with some pretty neat features. The 1.3 Ghz dual core processor by MediaTek may not seem like much but this is coupled with a 1 GB Ram will ensure a smooth enough experience when using this tablet. The 4 GB of internal memory is definitely not good enough but thankfully, there is a memory card slot that will help to expand the memory to a maximum of 32 GB.

The Lava Ivory E Tablet is a very good tablet for college students like me who are looking for a buget entertainment system. The 7 inch screen is just about perfect as it is not too small like a smart phone where you cannot enjoy watching movies and not too large like a 10 inch tablet where it is too cumbersome to carry. The tablet has a micro SD card slot so you can always increase the memory if you want. The tablet may only have 4.2 Jellybean installed but to be honest, I really don’t see what the big deal is anyway.
