Good phone but badly made had to send it back

Display : Decent display. Considering the size has good pixel density. Able to produce sharp Images.nBattery: Best battery backup i have experience till now. I have used many phones both HTC and Samsung but lenovo impressed me the most (thanks to lenovo's on board power management system). With moderate to heavy use on wi-fi and 2g, the phone on a full charge phone used just 30% of battery by day's end. On 3g the the phone used about 60% of charge on moderate to heavy use. nUI: The UI sucks. Limited customization. I used apex launcher to ease the agony. nBuild Quality: Decent. For 18knCamera: Good. Colour reproduction was good. flash was good. Images taken in low light were a little grainy and had a little bit of noise, but on the whole a good camera.nGaming: PowerVR SGX544 is a good GPU. I had a great time palying many games on the phone. Some graphic intense games like frontline commando & D-day were little laggy. nnIssues- The transit process from Flipkart was good. got the phone in 3 days. But on the day of delivery i found the screen had 4 dead pixels on the screen. I immediately called the help desk and they agreed to replace it. the replacement took 2 days. Then again there was a problem, the screen was fine now but the touch capacitive buttons were very unresponsive. had to press them 5 times to get a response. Called the help desk again, they said they would take back the faulty piece and would refund my money back. So they did.nnConclusion: S920 for its price is a great phone, slim, sleek good to hold in the hands, awesome battery, good camera. I would buy it again provided the issues are resolved. I think i just got two faulty pieces as i have not come across such issues with other users.

Excellent phone........But !

I bought this phone on the specifications put out in the various sites, and of course the Lenovo reputation. nOn the first look, I just thought that it might be another crappy phone, or a re-branded Micromax ! But then the sheer size of the phone, and its ease of functionality kept me going on.nNeedless to add, it surpassed my expectations several times over.nThe basic colours on the display were gorgeous ! At first I thought that this was "just normal", but when we compared around 6 phones, on full brightness, the Lenovo was way ahead of the others. The colour gradations and colour clarity (saturation), far exceeded even the famed Nexus 4, and Galaxy Tab.nThe basic gaming and application usage were normal, and it performs as well as the best leaving nothing to be desired.nOf course there were some aspects which could be improved.n1. Battery life - It lasts a full day, on heavy usage, but one is reminded of the Old Old Motorola and Siemens phones, which had to be charged once, sometimes twice a day !n2.The response is slightly slower than the Nexus 4 class of machines, but this is as expected, as the Antutu ranking is lower.n3. The touchscreen is slightly sluggish.n4. It is only a 4 point touchscreen, though the Call center informed me that this was a 5-point touchscreen.n5. The speaker is small and tinny for music. In the target market they are aiming for, it should have had two speakers, and better speakers.nnPositive factors'n1. The sheer size makes it easy on the eyes. The Icons and text are very readable.n2. The screen resolution is very comfortable and sharp.n3. The 3G to WiFi switching is good.n4. Phone and Internet functionality is perfect.n5. Other apps also function normally making it a "correct operating smartphone".nnI feel that Lenovo, with it s reputation for innovation, should have done better.nIt should have provided full USB functionality. ( reading and writing to flash drives, and using eternal Modems )nA double speaker system ( maybe with Dolby ).nBetter Quality headphones ( mind you, their headphones are not bad ).nAccessories' availability. ( even till today, the screen protectors and hardcases are not easily available ).nnI feel that Lenovo has made a BIG BIG mistake, by outsourcing their service to a third party. They are hardened "service companies" who try and put the blame for every defect on the customer. They know all the "Smart Answers". Service companies should be providing SERVICE !. Even for a warranty defect they tried to put the blame on me, and finally they told me that the job could not be done ! ( after all, they are there to make money, NOT to provide service !), nThe charging point cover-flap had come off within 25 days of usage !nThe plastic flap is stuck on a flexible base, and the adhesive came off ! nHow can this be a user-error, or accidental damage, as claimed by the "SERVICE SUPPORT" people.nCharging port covers are supposed to be opened and closed ! ! ! ! nOf all the phones I have used the charging point covers have not come off even after several years of usage ! ! ! ! ! ( read Samsung ).nnBut for the extremely shabby service response I would have given this phone a BIG BIG - 5 Stars !nLenovo should be seriously re-thinking their service support. They should be making it more like Nokia !

Lenovo is the future of phones

I bought this phone last saturday and received it yesterday afternoon. Flipkart could have been better provided the phone was shipped from Delhi to Gurgaon but again no complaints fantastic delivery time. nnLet's come to the phone. I bought this phone completely based on reviews & online ads I saw for Lenovo phones. From Day1 I somehow liked it over its other contemporaries from other brands. Samsung was too common to be used, HTC I felt too heavy, Sony was too confusing with its UI and other Indian brands are nothing more than a joke in the name of phones. They can probably be called as overpacked gadgets rather be called as phones.nnPros :nn1. So light you can hardly feel its a 5.3" inch huge size phone.n2. UI seems so easy to use, I feel even my grandma can relish using it.n3. Display is amazing. Dowloaded HD files played on this phone gave such satisfaction as if its being watched on a big screen TV.n4. Smart Sound feature which acts as a noise cancellation technology, allows you to speak to other person even if you are sitting in a very noisy place. The other person hears only your voice and not the noise from where you are talking.n5. Battery is OMG. It looks huge, it has a lengthy performance too.n6. No lag as of now, installing, using & performing anything from Google play seems a cakewalk.n7. Superb camera its just not 8 MP, it gives that feel too.nnCons :nn1. Inbox no accessories. Charger, USB cable & headset looks very flimsy and not very strong.n2. Considering the size being too odd. 5.3" not a very commonly available device size a cover or a pouch should have been provided by Lenovo.n3. Power button at the top not sure about others but very inconvenient for me.nnOverall :nnVery good phone and features. Like I mentioned in the title these phones are here to stay. A bit of intelligent marketing can do wonders for these phones from Lenovo and can definitely change the mindset of people who buy similar looking, similar featured different modelled and priced phones from only one Company.
