Hi all, this phone is really awesome with great great battery and an excellent music player. I am using my old sennheiser headphones with it and the sound clarity is just fantastic. I also have a mp3 player and I can say that this phone sounds somewhat better than mp3 player as it is having yamaha amplifier in it. The battery is wonderful!!!! Four days of heavy use like music, movies and calls and the battery is still 75%. nnProsn1. Rocking battery, charge it and forget itn4. display and design is quite good compared to other budget phones, can quite customize it like wallpapers, screensavers, ringtones, brightnessn5. mobile operation is quite fast. I was using spice phone and some china made phones earlier and they really sucked a big time in operations, while this one is far far betternnfew cons I like to mentionn1. no rewind/forward in mp3 playern2. camera clarity is good but don't try to take pictures in low light, you'll see nothingn3. little bulky if not heavyn4. FM antenna is there but it is of no use actually, radio reception is averagen5. not aware of the service of micromax but read many reviews stating that micromax service sucksnnSo anybody interested in multimedia phone at cheap price with awesome battery then go for this mobile.

Hi, bought this fone from local store at same price. The fone is really good one, looks very good in hands, doesn't look like a toy and is really light weight. It has all the multimedia features like mp3 player, fm, video player, camera 1.3 mpxl, video recording and so on. mp3 sound is too good for the price, has equilizer and 3d sound effect, built in yamaha amplifier. Camera is decent one, didn't expected it to be that good but it is really impressive for a 1.3 mpxl. network coverage is good, it also has gprs, memory card support, plus it has bluetooth. So if anybody planning to buy a budget fone, then this has to be considered. What else do you need for a Rs 1600 fone? just go for it

I had purchased this phone to gift it to my Mother-In-Law since we have a BSNL Land line connection that has Free Outgoing to any Local BSNL Mobile. So my wife can talk to her Mom for Free as Long as the Cordless Phone's Battery and the Micromax Phone's Battery are charged. I had purchased this phone on 03-11-2011. In other case, our Company Rented Vehicle's Driver also bought the same Micromax X229 from Snapdeal. Last December (2012), my daughter threw the phone in a bucket of water. The phone started working after 2-3 days. This is nice. One problem is that it has only 1.3 MP Camera. But when I tried to enter it in the Cons, it is displaying as It has 13 MP Camera only. Please rectify this fault.
