Xo00m

I got this in 3 days! nThey also sent the original portfolio case for the XoomnThanks guys!nAfter unpacking, the xoom didnt start off, it gave me the 'This device in not provisioned'nor some error of that kindnThen I inserted a sim card (an old one that didn't work) and the Xoom started :)nI guess this will be the case for WiFi and 3G Xoom.nThe connection to WiFi was easy - every thing is really easy, nI downloaded some games to start with and they are real smoothnThe whole interface for the Market, Gmail, Gtalk, Youtube is awesomely different on the Honeycomb 3.0.1 (the version on Xoom).nThe battery is ok, its not as said in some of comments below, I was using it for half of the night, & there is still 70 % left.nThe touch is smooth. A game called Fruit Ninja uses fornger moves like a knife cut, and that wored real smooth.nand the last word here....nFlipKart is probably the best online shopping site there is.nnKeep Xooming! (coined a new expression :)

Great tablet at the price

This was one of the most anticipated tablets, but when it was released, it was a disappointment. A price of 36000 for the wifi 3G version meant that it was almost as expensive as the ipad2 and could not compete with the mediocre screen.nnStill, why is it a good buy and why am I recommending it? Two reasonsn1. Price: With Motorola slashing the price to 23K, the equation changes drastically. Flaws which were unacceptable at the earlier price become minor irritantsn2. Ice Cream Sandwich: It has already been announced that the Xoom will get ICS. I've seen some early builds based on AOSP code (totally without Motorola's support and unoptimized) and the tablet simply flies. With a properly optimized and supported ROM, it will make it a completely different experience.nnOf course, the usual strengths still remain, the specs arent very different from the other tablets, but this is the original Google experience tablet, so you can be sure of updates for ICS and beyond.nnI ended up ordering it today as a birthday gift to myself.

XOOM the user review

It took 5 days to reach after placing the order. The Box consists of Tablet, Charger, USB cable & Yes of course the Folio Case which I think is good enough and an add on for Flipkart customers.nnThe Xoom is very sleek and has a nice feel to it when holding it. Honeycomb is very responsive so far.nGetting the Xoom set up was a snap. If you're familiar with Android, then almost everything will be cool. If you're new to Android, this is a good platform to experience it on. There are five home screens. Plenty of space to arrange your apps and widgets. Using the voice search on Android is second to none. Very accurate.nnPicture quality with the camera is on pretty decent. The camera has some customizable settings on it. Recording video in 720p is also pretty good, but holding it like a normal point and shoot camera might take a little getting used to at first due to its size. The built-in movie editor is very basic, so don't expect too much from it. The sound is fine with me, but some people don't like that the speakers are on the back. I'm not a fan of the volume buttons. They're too small and when you have the Xoom in the case from Motorola, they're not easily accessible. The power button is on the back, which takes some getting used to, but isn't horrible.nnDespite Honeycomb being very polished and smooth, sometimes videos on Youtube may require you to tap it again to get it to work.nnSpeaking of the Android Market...there are only 16 apps/games for the tablet. Yep, 16. There are a couple of games pre-installed on the Xoom, which are okay. Nothing to email the folks about, but I guess Motorola had to put something on there to somewhat showoff the Xoom's possible capabilities. The regular android apps can work, but some of them will be distorted on a larger screen.nnOverall, I like the open OS and its customization and ofcourse I haven't experience a single software crush so far.nnWhat's great about it: Ultra-customizable and portable. Battery life isn't bad either. Honeycomb is very smooth.nWhat's not so great: Unavailability of USB portnI would recommend this to a friends!

Firstly ... its heavy .... consumes charge like anything ... very bad screen color reproduction compared to Samsung galaxy tab series .... did i mention its unreasonably heavy?nnvery slow performance when compared to other tabs ... it would be a total waste of money if you would want to pick it up, check the other tabs before considering to buy this piece of crap
