User Reviews for Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type

Having used nokia phones for may years, I picked this one. Have had issues with the touch module. The problem is that if touch is not working this phone is useless. (Meaning type interface cannot operate the phone) After 2 trips to the care center, upgrade of OS, and a lighter wallet - it still has unpredictable performance. I am on the look out for another phone.

Bought this phone some days earlier, among all this 'Android' hullaboo, keeping in mind of the excellent service which my previous Nokia phone had given me. nThough, must say, am not so impressed this time.nnPros:n1) Classy look and feel.n2) I liked the numbered keypad, and was quite used to it from my earlier phone.n3) Can be well operated with one hand !n4) Good bright display.nnCons:n1) Not so happy with call quality, doono if that's because of my operator, but my previous phone worked just fine in that.n2) No GPS. At > 8k I ought to have got it.n3) Wifi with no Skype, thats really really (really) bad. No point giving Wifi on a 2.4 inch screen phone, where it isn't really adequate to surf the web, with no Skype. This was a shocker for me. With Nokia, I really didn't do a big time R&D on the phone, thinking they would take care of it. nAm still searching for any software that can help with voice calling over GPRS/WLAN connection, but as of date, no luck. Skype just says 'Skype is not available for your phone. Consider an upgrade'. Nimbuzz etc does not help either.nSkype forums are full with user grievances specifically about C3-01.n3) 'Touch' is quite not the right term, 'Push' is ! Really had to 'touch' quite hard to make some of the things work.n4) In general, found OVI store to really come up blank, when you search for a specific s/w addressing some of your issue. Otherwise, if you have no special need of the store, the store is adequately full.nnTo Flipcart,....excellent service !nCustomer care is super fast. nMy 4th buy and am still impressed. nKeep up the good work.nn- angshuman

Guys, Please don't buy this phone...nReason is Touch screen won't work after some time. Even if there is a Keypad, you require touch screen to unlock and browsing. Touch screen is very bad. There are options for emails and Facebook,but once you try to access those go for a tea and come back.Better see your daily horoscope before buying this one.

Although the phone has a good interface, from applications to sound, the camera is poor with no auto-focus that defies the relevance of 5 MP Camera, very very poor touch that gets into it's actual play within 4 months of not responding. Overall A risky purchase.
