I had high hopes but....

The tablet is very impressive, but it has a major major problem. The battery, not that it drains quickly, but the charging time is totally a deal breaker, I am charging it since 3 hrs and the charge is not even 30% yet. I only used it for 30 minutes during this time. Earlier, when the battery was completely drained it took 20 minutes of charging just to boot it! I had recommended this tablet to many friends, but I am going to ask them to hold. Not sure if its a problem with my unit or its a common problem with this tablet. In any case, I would recommend people to hold. With such battery performance it is not usable at all!

Was in doubts at first but..

A tab from a company having reputation for not keeping up with the promises (Notion Ink Adam)! Was in doubt about the quality & performance. But this time, Notion Ink managed to shatter everything! nn-Whats in the box-nThe unitnAn OTG cablen2A charger (Charger looks & feels so cheap! I'm pretty sure that the charger will be breaking first, soon!) nKeyboard+trackpad velvet cover (pretty good quality)nWireless Mouse (Superb design & quality)nScreen guard comes preinstalled on the unitnA Mentos pack, which is a nice gesture by Notion Ink :)nWarranty card & QS guidenn-Build, Look & Feel-nThe unit feels SOLID! Pretty good design with no compromises. Nice premium finish with brushed aluminum back & good quality plastics all around. There is one full USB 3.0 port on the device & one mini USB which can be used to connect an OTG cable(comes with the package) to make it a full USB port. Only one problem I felt is that the power button is at the side rather than being at the top & the volume rockers are at the top.nn-Performance & Screen-nExceptionally good for basic computing tasks like word processing, web browsing & movies. But its a strict NO for graphics intensive applications(that is quite obvious & this is not intended for those kind of applications, get a pc or a laptop for that). It can handle Windows store apps with ease. Installed Minion Rush game & it works fine without any lags or stutter. Its a 1.33GHz processor with turbo boost frequency of upto 1.83GHz meaning that the system will automatically overclock the CPU upto 1.83GHz as needed. Windows 8.1 is butter smooth & the OS integrates well with the hardware. Never experienced any lag or performance issues and was able to watch 1080p movies without lags or stutter.nScreen resolution is 1280x800 in 10.1", which may be too low for pixel freaks but its not a big issue for me & I think this is a strategic move by Notion Ink to minimize the graphics lag due to the under powered processor trying to render larger screen resolutions although Intel spec sheets says the Atom can render very high resolutions.nn-Battery Life, Speakers & Camera-nDescent battery life I'd say. I'm getting a full day at moderate to high usage. I've seen some reviews about the battery is slow to get charged. I never faced the issue(using it since a week). Plug it in to charge overnight & you're good to go in the morning. nSpeakers are of good quality - nothing to praise but they does the job decently. They are loud & stereo channels in the audio can be distinguished.nCameras - really disappointing when considering the fact that they're not even having auto focus! Poor cameras, but good enough for Skype calls. Nobody these days takes photos using their tabs but we all need a good camera in our tabs. Notion Ink failed to address this.nn-Pros-nPremium look & feelnSolid buildnButter smooth performancenGood battery performancenBuilt in MicnPrice!nn-Cons-nCameranLack of compatible cases (may be resolved soon)nnn-Verdict-nThe unit is simply awesome!
