Value for money

I bought it on 9th August and using it for almost a month. I bought it mainly because of the 7th gen A10 9600 processor and latest DDR4 rm (First time in laptop under 30k)nnThe normal boot time of the laptop is around 20-25 sec. The processor is really doing great job, even using software like Photoshop. It comes with 4gb DDR4 ram, planning to upgrade it to 8gb. The graphic performance is not so great as it has only integrated readon R5 with 80Mb. n The battery backup is around 3-3.5 hrs under normal usage. Another advantage over other budget laptops is 2 usb 3.0 ports and C-type port. nnOverall if you are looking for a budget performance laptop go for it. if you are looking for better graphics performance, then check HP AF008AX. nnAdditionally Acer is offering extended warranty of 3 years by paying Rs. 299/- +tax, may register in acer website for the same.

Worth every penny

Why I started with a review of this laptop and the initial few things that prompted me to write this review are:n1) Incorrect Specifications on the product page at various e commerce websitesn2) Lack of the details of this model on Acer websiten3) Incredible performance of this laptop (especially at this pricepoint)nThe sales package contains the following:n1) Aspire E5-553-T4PT Notebook with Lithium Ion Batteryn2) AC Adaptern3) No OS CD (Why Acer could you not have provided a restore OS CD)n4) No Laptop Bag (I dont crave for it as it is anyways at a very economical pricepoint)nProcessor - AMD APU Quad Core A10 9600P (this is a 7th Gen AMD processor, just launched in mid 2016) nRAM - 4 GB DDR4 RAM (yes yes its a DDR4 RAM! Yaay)nOS - 64 bit Windows 10 Operating System (yes legit OS)nHDD - 1 TB HDD (its a 5400 rpm laptop drive)nOptical Drive - Optical drive 8x DVD R/W (provides extra bay to replace the same with an additional HDD)nGraphics - AMD integrated graphics - Radeon R5 GraphicsnDisplay - 15.6 inch Display 1366x768 WXGA resolution (Yes it is nothing to write home about, but still looks good)nUSB Type C port - Yes it is there (i have not seen any laptop at this price point provide this port)nPrice - Approximately INR 25000/- (cant think of all the features provided by any brand at this price in India)nnWarranty - On registering on Acer India website got an offer to upgrade the existing carry in warranty to the following:n1) New warranty upgrade to Accidental Damage Protection (ADP)n2) Free upgrade to 2nd and 3rd year warrantynAll the above at INR 900/- inclusive of all taxes, extra payment by me (this is mind blowing. Anything like this for HP/Dell/Lenovo would have easily costed me INR 5000/- to 10,000/-.nNow moving on to details.n1) Looks - The laptop looks great. It has a good textured laptop lid and looks nicely painted. It gives the look of a metal matte finishing. It however is plain plastic with some clever finishing to give that look. The touch pad is nice and large and has a neat aluminum like border to it which looks awesome. The power key is flush with the laptop buttons and not separate so gives a feeling of continuity. I must say that I am impressed with the finish at this price point. Nothing at all to complain about. I would rate it at a healthy 4 on 5 on Looks overall.n2) Form factor - The laptop is not really wieldy as it is a massive 15.6 inches. It weighs in at around 2.23Kgs, which is certainly a lot considering my other laptop is a mac book air and weighs less than half of this. So overall not a great portable machine. I would give it 3 out of 5 on Form factor.n3) Specifications - The specifications of this laptop are stellar at this price. n4) Performance - The laptop being a great performer, right from the word go. I have seenna) Display - The display resolution is 1366x768 which is nothing stellar. But it is still a good quality display.nIt has decent view angles. Nothing that i can find as a flaw till now.nb) Processor - This is where the real meat is. I have two other Windows laptop at home. One is an ASUS laptop with 4th Gen core i3 processor and a Lenovo Ultrabook with 3rd Gen Core i7 processor. You can all google and look at all benchmarks yourself. I am more interested in day to day operations of laptop and how it will perform on the ground. Needless to say that a good processor coupled with 4 GB DDR4 RAM it is a great performer. My several installations, data copying etc all went through without a hassle. Also, another thing I noticed that the more things I threw at it simultaneously, the smoother it performed. I have never seen such a thing from any Intel processor. I can safely assume that in real world it will put any Intel core i5 - 5th gen processor to shame in real world performance. So in essence a great laptop for any daily work like MS Office suite or browsing upto 50 tabs in firefox/chrome/edge or viewing videos while downloading going on simultaneously. This laptop will not break a sweat in any of this. This is just too good at Multi-tasking, infact it is made for multitasking. nc) Keyboard - This has got a full keyboard with a dedicated Num pad. I think this will come in handy for all gamers. It is a pleasure to use. The keys have adequate travel and provide good feedback. I think this is a great keyboard to have and should last long.nd) Upgradability - This is the forte of this laptop. It has RAM upgradabilty to 32 GB. Also since it has a DVD drive, the same can be removed to add another 1 TB of Hybrid or simple HDD. This is something my Lenovo U410 didnot have. I love this fact. Also the fact that these guys have provided the latest RAM and latest Legit OS at this price point is just superb. Both being upgradable to future versions.ne) Speakers - One word - Awesome! Nice, loud and clear.n5) Conclusion - This is a great value for money machine.nYou test, you decide!

Pretty good

So far so good. Prompt delivery by flipkart as usual. Laptop build is nice except touchpad. Acer's 2 year extended warranty n+ 1 year ADP for Rs 574 was a positive surprise. My first AMD processor experience is good. Inbuild 720 Mhz Gpu is good unless you are a full time gamer. Altough multitasking is good, still I think, to match A10 9600P processing n multitasking capabilities this model should be combined with at least 8 gb ram, out of box. Hence 4 stars. And yes, Flipkat spec needs a correction, its DDR4 4 GB RAM.

Very poor

DEFECTIVE PRODUCT....... KEYBOARD stopped working after 20 days..... A total piece of crap...... Speed of pre-installed dual ddr4 ram is much lower than my ddr3 corsair memory.......flipkart should look into th matter of providing quality stuff to its customers..... I want refund or replacement... Which ever is viable
