If you are planning to install any Linus OS, then you will not find driver for the Qualcomm Atheros WIFI used in this laptop. Hope Qualcomm releases drivers soon for Linux. So think twice before you purchase this if you are planning to install Linux OS. Hardware configuration is very good for the money. I have installed Ubuntu 14.04 and I find the performance very good and smooth except for the WIFI. I am using external WIFI dongle as of now hoping Qualcomm or Ubuntu community would release the Linux driver soon. For my bad luck, I got the device with keyboard problems and Flipkart replaced it, but it wasn't easy as Filpkart called me 4 times asking the same questions repeatedly about the problems. I had to wait for 5 days for the Flipkart to accept that device had problems. This is the first time I had bad experience with Flipkart.
This machine is really fast.The processor speed is fast upto 2.7 Hz when required (I installed SAP which requires database server).Apart from this screen,audio quality,keyboard,mousepad response,etc is good.The couple of features missing are that there are no led indicators on caps lock,num lock,scroll lock and battery is non removable...........
Glad to see this pricepoint on Core i5.. For my budget (arnd 30k), i've never though i could get a Core i5 machine.. Great deal The texture styling on the machine too looks unique & stylish, in a way making it thinner than it actually is.. great product
Great Laptop....Great Performance... I have received the laptop in a day after ordering the same through my Flipkart First account. I am very much happy with the quality provided by Acer within a price of 28900/-. The design of the laptop is awesome; sleek, stylish and very tough. The display is sharp and really better than my Lenevo laptop which cost me around 34000/-. With core i5 5th generation, I can run windows 8.1 flawlessly. There is no issue with the drivers and performance of the hard ware. I played Fifa 2015 in it and it passed the result quite well. Of course, I must tell you all that this laptop has one of the best back up I have seen in windows 8.1. The only problem I found is that battery which is non-removable. The last but not the list is the Camera of this laptop, which is simply awesome for Skype video calling. Its far better than Lenovo and HP in this price tag. I am planning to increase the RAM capacity of the laptop to 16 GB DDR3L to run some VMs in my laptop over core-i5 which is again an added advantage as in this price tag many laptops can be expanded to 8 GB RAM only.
i bought this product from snapdeal at Rs. 28990. product is great in hardware aspects but i am still searching drivers like WiFi, Graphics for this laptop. On acer website only windows 8.1 and 10 drivers are available. Upon calling customer care multiple times no concrete solution i got yet. They said it is not compatible to windows 7 and windows 8.1 professional.. you have to install only simple windows 8.1 and not pro. if its not usable for windows 7 then what kind of product it is.. i am stuck... when i install VGA drivers for windows 8.1 on windows 7 64 bit then VGA works but USB stop functioning, before that no camera functioning. i can give it full 5 start and even more if i get drivers for windows 7 64 bit. But for now only 1 star If anyone knows please help for windows 7 64 bit.......
