Great Tablet at This Price

This product tick all the boxes for the tablet I was looking for and also has many features which brings it on par with many laptops. Got this deal at 10% discount.n.nSpecs: (which might be missing in description)n* It has IPS LCD screen with pretty good viewing angles. Colors seem to saturate sometimes though.n* The processor is x5-8350 which was launched in 1st quarter of 2016n* System architecture is 64 bit but installed OS is 32 bitn* The weight is mentioned to be 1.2 kg but is feels much heavier because of the compact designn* Design is awesome. Although completely plastic, it seems and feels premium n* The HDD is technically an SSD(no moving parts only silicon) but people prefer to call it eMMC because it is embedded on the board and has very different usage and speed as compared to the traditional more popular SSD's n.nPros:n* Good screen, decent brightness and viewing anglesn* Long battery life even when wi-fi is turned ON, 6.5-7 hours with continuous web browsing (sometimes 8)n* Really nice keyboard. Although the size is reduced for the keys but it is not difficult to type. Trackpad is also greatn* Touch on the screen is accurately detected almost every timen* Display mode has come very handy to me while giving online testsn* Sound output from the 3.5 mm is also manageablen* The OS is desktop OS so all desktop apps are available here also n.nCons:n* Tablet is on the heavier side but still it is because of the large screenn* Sound of the tablet is pathetic. My Boat headphones were louder than it when they were used as speakers at 75% of the max volume leveln* It has InsydeH2O UEFI BIOS which makes trying different operating systems difficult and impractical in many casesn* Browsing webpages is fine until some heavy sites are loaded. Firefox starts to hang a lot when browsing tech2 or techradar although they are not much heavy sites. Chrome is not suitable as it is RAM eatern* And as anyone can tell you the case with such tablet laptops: Both cameras are patheticn* Charging time is very long with the provided 2A charger 4-5 hoursn* Don't know maybe the company wanted to make a fancy charger and ended up making a meaninglessly complicated chargern* Could have used more RAM. Task manger memory consumption stats give little heart attack with every launched program n.nAlso need to know:nIf you are planning to try android on this tablet then don't bother buying. This tablet is just fine with windows. With android x86 ports it has many problems (I tried many EFI's) like Remix OS Grub missing, Pheonix OS (Lollipop no boot and Nougat grub missing), Bliss x86 (using Pheonix nougat) keyboard and touch not working. Android x86 6.0 r3 was the only working OS among these that also with no wifi, no bluetooth, no G sensor, no battery monitor (stuck on 0%) and may be some more problems. Although USB Port was working, keyboard and touch was great. Battery consumption by android x86 was so fast the tablet barely got 10% charge in 2 hours. nIf you are loading heavy websites, try using green browser. It is more lenient on RAM and processor than firefox.nChanging OS to 64 bit won't make much change because the system is majorly having 2 GB RAM as bottleneck

Must buy!

Excellent..nnI was little unsure about the product before purchasing, but this product is truly awesome.nnI chose it as it is an Acer product, so I trusted it. There was a one year onsite warranty, so I gave it a try.nnI was anticipating an improper working of Windows as the memory is 32GB. Speakers and Cameras are not good at all. These are the areas they can work on. If they increase the memory to 64GB, improve speakers to at least normal phone levels and improve cameras, it will be a superb device even if they increase the price to up to Rs1,500 more.nnAlthough, for people who care about the camera and speakers a lot, this can be a deal breaker. I hardly use tablet cameras as I didn't ever use the camera in my last tablet. Still, they're good enough to do basic things like Skype, etc.nnI almost never use the device's speakers, so that's not the issue for me either. I always plugin the earphone or connect Bluetooth headphones.nnNow, let's come to why I love this product.nn1. Windows work super smooth like butter. No lagging at all. I make sure that I don't put a lot of stuff on C drive. I have installer basic programs like Chrome and other important programs that I need on C. I keep C drive free.nnI install all games and apps on memory card.nn2. Games like Asphalt, Sniper fury are graphic intensive games. They work great even though they're installed on the memory card.nn3. It is so portable, but still I don't find any issue when I use it as a normal laptop for all my work. Zooming with touchscreen if I need to makes it great. nn4. It easily converts to tablet. I didn't know how this detachment thing works. It is just a magnetic attachment and it is easy to switch the keyboard in and out.nn5. As a tablet, it really comes handy. It works as an awesome 10 inch tablet that runs as smooth as butter.nn6. USB plugin option is in the keyboard attachment, it works little slow. Pen drives can be connected via otg and in my experience, it has been a little faster. nn7. Battery is awesome once fully charged. It works for around 8-10 hours without any issue. Battery takes time to charge fully. So, I charge it when I sleep and when I wake up, I find it fully charged.nn8. I have never experienced a fully working Microsoft windows on a touchscreen computer and a tablet. So, obviously, a fully working windows are much better options than an android tablet. Here, using the keyboard as stand comes handy. Just tuck in the tablet to the attachment from the opposite side.nn9. No lag, no hang, no problem like that. I actually liked the surface pro for its convertibility and touch screen windows. This device fulfills the purpose for me at the moment. Obviously, specifications are not at all comparable to surface pro, but price cannot be compared either. It gives me the touchscreen windows experience and that's what I like the most about it. Touchscreen works perfectly just like any other tablet. Screen brightness and colors are good.nnnOverall, I find this netbook a great device. It is a netbook and a tablet. Although, initially I felt it is just an attachment, but actually it is truly a 2 in 1. You forget about it being a normal netbook, when you use it as a tablet.nnI highly recommend this to people who are thinking of buying a large tablet. I recommend this to people who are thinking of buying a small windows PC. It is both and transits smoothly between the two modes, both physically and on the system as well.

Useless product

Kindly send the item with correct specifications mentioned in the description as the product sent is of lower quality memory. Till then, I would consider that I have not received the product. I expect Flipkart to fulfill the commitment to the customers and not be called as 'Cheaters'.

Fantastic purchaseSteps to get best performance

Great Tablet and laptop hybrid at a splendid price.Got it for Rs.8549 during Big 10 sale.nUsing it for almost a month now, here are my thoughts.nBefore buying, I was confused with Acer switch 10e model and this one, since no clear information was available even when checking Acer website. nnFollowing are the actual specs:nProcessor: Intel atom series x5 z8350 64 bit which is better than Acer switch 10e 's z8300.nnFrequency: Normal frequency of 1.44ghz with boost speeds of 1.9ghz (Better than Acer Switch 10e's limited frequency range)nTrust me,it works at about 1.6-1.7ghz during normal usage also. So the boost frequency definitely has a positive role here to play. nnOS: Windows 10 home 32bit (See the below note how it compares with 64 bit OS present in Acer switch 10e)nnRAM: 2 GB (same for most Windows tablets in this range. Yes it's not a high value, but the are ways to get great performance with that too) nnDisplay: 10.1 inch 10 point multitouch capable IPS display with resolution of 1366*768(Normal HD). Yes , you can see the pixels but it is not that bad like we will notice it everytime. Just adjust the Windows settings to make the display texts and icons a bit big automatically and it can be solved upto a great extent. Keep in mind that this is the resolution of most 10 inch tablets of 20k range and most of the mid segment laptops.nnTouch was never an issue with this tablet but don't know why sometimes I get strain in my eyes when using it for some time, May be because I am used to big screens in my home and work.nnTouch pad: Great response. No problem yet. Gestures also work fine.nnBuild quality: Must say kudos to Acer. Tablet back is covered with black coloured aluminium. The keyboard part is also tough, with no bending/flexing sounds , keys also doesn't make any sound on press.nThe magnetic dock is actually a great option I have seen. It always works very smooth in attaching and detaching the keyboard and tablet. nnCamera: Front VGA camera is just for name sake, even the back cam(2MP) fails to impress. Nothing to say, as I was not expecting it to be good. nnBattery backup: Great.Takes time for charging fully but lasts for more than 5 hours with full-time on WiFi which is more than enough. nnPerformance : It behaves very well to the basic tasks I threw into it like Web browsing using chrome, Firefox, Edge browser,Office 2016(installed manually), Music and video playback, Skype calls etc.nInorder to get maximum performance from this capable tablet you have to do some simple manipulations first before using it. Some of them are:n-Buy a 64 GB MicroSD of class 10 UHS with speeds of 80MBps or more. n-Configure Windows such that the user folders like Downloads,Documents etc should be going to the SD card. Also Windows 10 allows you to install all the apps download from Windows store to be stored into SD card. n- Since Windows won't allow ReadyBoost feature to be enabled on a PC which already have a solid state drive, we can't enable that on our SD card. But there is another feature in Windows which allow us to use the SD card space as swap. Just configure Windows to use Page file space of atleast 2GB from your SD card. n- Uninstall McAfee as it is just a trial and you have to pay to use it after a month. Enable Windows defender as it is as powerful as an Antivirus like any paid Antivirus softwares. nnDon't ever think that the 32 bit windows installed in this machine is inferior than 64 bit one that we use in our PCs. nnInfact 32bit OS is the best suited one for any PCs with less than 4GB RAM. Please don't go with the numbers. You can get the detailed information regarding this from the internet itself. Only problem is that some apps are only available in 64 editions, that you need to skip. nBut another thing is, if Acer was using a 64 bit OS in this model, it would be definitely hungry for RAM as it is designed with the capability to utilise more than 4GB RAM, but instead 32 bit OS is designed to support a maximum of 4 GB RAM. nAlso if you need 64 bit OS itself, then definitely you can download the same from Windows website legally and Windows will accept the same License for the 64 bit version too. So that is also a good option to check if you are sure. nIn conclusion, I must say for any price at 11k or less, this is definitely a great gadget if you love portability with the full potential of Windows. Ofcourse it can't replace your laptop or PC as a whole but on traveling it is definitely of great use. nnJust go for it without a thought if you like it ...nnWill update the steps to configure it for best performance as I get some spare timennThanks

Awesome device. Please read FIX FOR LOW VOLUME SPEAKERS.

Full Review coming later, just want to say a fabulous device plagued by very low volume speakers. So I'm sharing a simple hack I found out working great and can boost speaker sound multifold and can help a lot of fellow co-owners of this awesome device.nn1. Search "manage audio devices" in taskbar > select speaker > properties > system effects > untick disable system effects & tick enable speaker equalizer > ok.n2. Install EqualizerAPO from here: goo.gl/stm5D8n3. Select Speakers - Intel SST audio device while installing.n4. Create file and save the following lines to C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config\acer.txtnChannel: ALLnPreamp: 20 dBn5. Open EqualizerAPO > Configuration editor from start menu and open acer.txt file. Close and you're done. I found increasing preamp value more than 20 dB doesn't have much effect. This is one time job.nnEnjoy great audio boost!nnIt took me days and lot of research to find this solution. nIf you want to thank and buy me a beer, send whatever you like to my PayTM : 90-38_16-46_35nnThanks!
