acer aspire v5 571 G

a very nice series launched by acer V5 this laptop comes with an i5 4gb and 500gb hard disk, and nvidia 710m though 630m and 710m doesn't have much difference but performance a bit better, best thing comes is the sleek design weighing just 2.3kg very light to carry and keyboard back light which makes it very elegant and costlier than it is, with win 8 which spoils the experience it could have been better with win 7, speakers are fairly good but I would recommend to take speakers. battery back up is little disappointing as it cannot give more than 3 hrs as against 5hrs promised by them and when keeping keyboard back light on it will further drop to 2.5 hrs .Clock speed is 1.8ghz upto 2.7ghz turbo boost..and uses an ultra low voltage processor so it dosent get hot and hence there is no need for coolpad. though it is hd led screen display quality isn't as sharp compared to dell and Lenovo..keyboard feel is great but it will take time to get adjusted to it. other drawback to mention is all 3 usb ports are on one side. but in the end this laptop is great balance between design and performance no matter is the best in this segment. so its a great buy for design and powerful processor which is comparable to an ultrabook and comes with a big 15.6inch display and very elegant misty non glossy silver colour but exterior is made up of plastic. in the end its a fair deal with an i5 processor keyboard back lit , win 8, and 710m nvidia graphics card,3hrs battery life, and very sleek design and light weight..

One of the best laptops I have ever come across

Its a really good buy and totally worth the investment. Pros Really stylish and resembles the mac from several angles. Extremely light and slim. In simple terms its an economic ultrabook. Inspite of being so slim, acer has still been able to incorporate a dvd drive and provided a separate ouput with a split cable for lan and HDMI Its fairly cool and doesn't require a cooling pad even while playing games on maxed out graphics Performance is extremely good. Boot time is usually 10-15 seconds. If on hibernation, its on, the moment you tap the power button. Windows 8 is really smooth and fluidic, though it takes time getting used to Battery back up is pretty decent giving upto 4hours standby on soft loads like watching movies on vlc The touchpad is brilliant and feels really good to use Cons The speakers aint that great. U may hardly feel the base, and placing it below the palm rest was certainly a bad idea, hence u may need to supplement it with external speakers Certain games are not that smooth at high graphics...But reducing the graphics a bit would solve this issue It has only one usb 3port compared to most of the models that come with 2 usb 3 ports these days The keyboard may feel a little clumsy in the beginning, but once you get used to it, shouldnt be a problem Overall experience with this laptop has been great. I would recommend this to everyone whoz looking for a performance oriented laptop with good features and style at a moderate and reasonable price
