great machine

great machine - good buy - great delivery time One major goof up by acer is that they do not have a numb lock or caps lock led indicator on the key board --- and the stupid windows 8 Os has no on-screen display for it too

Hayat on Acer 4th Gen

Acer Aspire V5-573G is a very good laptop most especially in terms of Battery Life, Light Weight, Speedy in Operations and so many more. Just give a trial and Justify.

Nice

Pros -Great build quality (something which was only obvious when I visited the store and saw it in the flesh) which made me reject the HP/Compaq and Dell laptops at a similar price/config. -Only Acer and Lenovo make good clamshells at this price point. -Really sleek...I keep appreciating that each time i pick it up. -Backlit keys is something I seem to use quite often. - Really nice config at this price point. - Nice battery life! Cons - Extremely bad buttons. No really. It's enough to be a deal breaker. Acer has much better (read:normal) trackpad and buttons on other models. I typically use a cordless mouse, so I make do. - No Dvd drive. That's how they get the laptop this thin of course. But make sure that you can do without one (Hint: the budget Macbooks don't have one) - Not a fault of Acer, but the 4th gen i5s are a bit underwhelming. Superb if you want a long battery life, but for higher performance, third gen i3/5/7 are better for the same price.
