If you really like to upgrade your RAM to 8GB or 16GB in future then better don't take this laptop. The RAM is fixed to mother board(logic board). Also, Flash drive (SSD) is non-upgradable one.
This notebook is a good buy who want to start using macintosh/ are switching from windows/ buying first laptop. I am a previous owner of a macbook air. The display - absolutely stunning. The text is sharper, crispier. Images feel as lively as on magazine pages. and be prepared to have your mind blown when you watch 1080p videos on this laptop. Ergonomics - Keyboard and Trackpad are apple trademarks and better than ever. The screen is thin and you do not feel it is 'hanging'. laptop is almost as thin and light as macbook air. palm rests are super big and typing feels more comfortable than ever. Battery and speakers - speakers are amazing and the volume is a tad bit higher than macbook air(do not expect too much bass). Battery is a staggering 9 hrs and u wont be disappointed in this claim(normal web usage/writing). Performance - as a previous mac user you will not experience any changes when it comes to day to day apps like safari, mail, iwork/ilife. Writers/Programmers - Blindly get this if this is you first retina display laptop - It is simply gorgeous. Photographers - if space is not a issue then this notebook shall perform well at photography tasks but only at entry level. Gamers - simply put mac is not designed for hardcore gaming. however entry level graphics can be used. Engineers - This notebook might disappoint you during heavy tasks in Proteus/FCP but MATLAB/LabView/Simulink should run just fine.(I only use these) Smaller packages like Arduino/EaglePCB/fritzing/Eclipse will be a breeze. Keep in mind that you cannot upgrade anything on this laptop except for maybe changing battery later. I did not order it from flipkart since it does not deliver to my home :| .(201010)
Incredibly powerful battery. Gives me an uptime of 8 hours with wifi/bluetooth adapter on. Guessing would go up an hour if the adaptors are turned off. Retina display is a sheer beauty!! flash memory is blazing fast as well as the USB port transfer speed. just make sure you are happy with the config since they can't be changed/updated later. Its completely sealed. The price tag is a huge drawback but then beauty comes at a price. source - Using MBP since November 2013

I have a 2010 13.3 inch pro... I had a 3 year insurance. Needless to say that the hardware is amazing. But... the 2010 model had 250 GB storage, and this one has 128 GB... You cannot install many applications. You have to partition the drive to install Windows as Mac OS is not productive enough. And last but not the least, beyond warranty, the parts are immensely expensive. Buy this if you want to watch movies only... Also, it is fast and Windows runs amazing on it... But...
