Good buy at this price

This is a highly portable laptop with a decent processor, good enough for day-to-day work and sufficient RAM to run your favorite programs. Nothing exceptional but quite decent. Touch is there and works quite well - but of limited use to me as I can't fold the keyboard backwards! And I knew it before ordering the product. My use is limited to the keyboard and touchpad. Both of them are of good quality and I am quite happy with the performance I am getting.nnThe machine ships with Win8 which gets upgraded to Win 8.1. However, I am not a Windows user and prefer Linux for my daily blogging, coding, entertainment, etc. I could disable Secureboot and install Ubuntu 14.04 without any issue. Further, Unity works pretty decent on touch and the system is very responsive. It boots up pretty fast in 10 seconds and didn't show up any lag while running Firefox, Chrome, Chromium and a couple of more programs in parallel.nnLaptop heat was an issue in the beginning but now the machine runs at 40-45 degree C at idle state and 55-60 degree C with quite a few apps running, once I reduced the CPU freq to powersave mode.I am getting about 4 hours of battery backup in Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit, which is very decent. Anyway, at this price range I wasn't looking for MBA!nnOverall, a nice product to have particularly those who travel a lot. It is very lightweight and very portable.

Love it, its a steal

Its has been 6 months since I bought the laptop. I like to take my time while reviewing laptops as problems generally show up later. When I first bought the laptop, I wasn't so happy with its touch sensitivity. I had done my research with as many laptops that I could and this was the one I chose, but was hesitant about buying a product online without seeing how it performed first hand. But after I increased the CPU usage percentage, the performance improved a lot and was flawless. Sometimes though the touch gets disabled due to some reason (probably when I incorrectly turn off the laptop) but this is a way to get it back and always works : Search for troubleshooting -> Hardware and Sound -> Hardware and Devices -> Next -> Enable Fix, and you're done!nThe i3 processor is good enough for me (I'm a student studying math and I'm able to run resource consuming softwares easily).nOne the of the best parts about this laptop is how light it is, including its tiny and handy charger. Its a pleasure working with this laptop and its so easy to handle and fun to play with!

Received user laptop

Got a laptop with hole in camera slot. But by my luck it is in working condition. Asus product is good but snapdeal and its policies to control vendors are worst. PLease but the same from anywhere else except snapdeal.

A smart laptop for a smart price

Good price, Good battery life, Good performance(as long as you dont fill up its memory) and comfortable to use. Was initially skeptical about Asus but hands down its perfect for the price you pay. My Asus has fallen from my hand twice, travelled to the UK and back and still going strong. ITs got a quick startup, Windows 8 works like a breeze Satisfaction guaranteed.
