Hi Guyz...nnI purchased the below config from e b a y US as flipkart was unable to deliver the current listed model at my address and I think I got a better deal :)nModel : GL551JM-DH71nRam : 16gbnProcessor : i7 4710HQnGraphics : 2gb DDR5 860MnOS : Windows 8.1nI have played lot of games on it like Ryse son of rome, grid autosport, shadow of mordar, wolfenstein, evil within, nfs rivals.... All of them running smoothly on high settings.nThe heat emmision is quiet negligible and cooling is good.nWindows 8.1 is shit and ruins the fun of switching quickly to other applications like that on Windows 7. nThe Keyboard is really good except that the red embossed alphabets on the keys are sometimes not visible even in daylight from certain angle but the key light covers it up.nOverall I am happy with the performance of this laptop.nI purchased the G551JM model at 83k and the G551JK model is approximately at same price in India with lower config and hence comparatively costly in India.nBut considered the price, the quality of this laptop is much better than other gaming laptops at same price..So go for it if under your budget :)
laptop is good - ok ok ... but at this price point there should be a 4 GB graphics card like the lenovo Y50 is giving this at a reduced price rate of around 72000 .... but the cloak rate of the cpu is better (2.5 GHz with boosted 3.5 GHz) ,,, RAM slots and dedicated memory is also ok ( it should be 16 GB instead of 8GB ) ... Also , lookswise the laptop is far better than any other laptop in this type of category ..... Hattsoff 2 u ASUS ... great going .... keep it up ....
The laptop is all red and black, and has a premium feel to it.nI replaced the stock hard disk with an SSD. It was very simple to remove the back cover and the hard disk and put them back.nAlthough making it boot from a USB drive was tricky, and I had to change some options in the BIOS for it.nIt comes with a Bluray Drive (not Writer).nThe red backlit keyboard looks nice, especially at low-light. The keys feel nice and firm to press, although sometimes they can be missed if you don't press firmly enough. Caps Lock light is a bonus. And oddly enough, to press the End key, you will need to turn off Num Lock and press 1. Power button is placed at the top-right corner within the keyboard. It could accidentally be pressed.nSound is very clear and not even a little distorted at maximum volume.nThe Republic of Gamers logo on the lid is also backlit and looks amazing.nBattery is very good; lasts 2 hours at high usage at medium brightness.nIt is quite heavy.nIt's a fingerprint magnet, especially if you have sweaty hands.nThe 1600 Mhz 8 GB RAM is a single stick. There is one more slot available if you want to upgrade.nThe Gaming Headset is an over-the-ear type. So outside sounds are cut-off. You also get a detachable microphone.nThe Gaming Mouse is big and feels a bit clunky. But that might just be me as I'm used to laptop-sized mice.nThe headset is red and black like the laptop, while the mouse is grey and black with blue light.nThe laptop bag is small and padded and has one compartment with a space for a laptop.nThere is very little bloatware.nAll in all, an excellent laptop worth the price.
I am satisfied with my laptop except some minor cons.nnCons: It is a fingerprint magnet.Get dirty very easily.
the components in this laptop are very powerful that gpu becomes a bottleneck. better buy a desktop.nncheck the performance gtx 850m
