NEVER!! I repeat NEVER buy an ASUS Laptop guys.It has the world's worst in fact worsest customer service ever, my laptop was facing some issues, So i called them on there given number, the representative said If it is under warranty kindly mail us the invoice and it will take a day or two to approve the warranty and the day it gets confirmed our technician will come and repair it since then its been 12 days, yes TWELVE days and no ray of hope from there side, am calling them daily to check if there s any progress but NO nothing's been done yet.nPatheticnBeing a Computer Science student i need my laptop quite frequently and these people handles your cases like this.nI suggest u go for this only when this is the last option left in this world.
Beast From Asus ... speakers r on down side... but still screen, build quality, nd perfomance is awesome.
I don't generally write reviews but this is a major let down by Asus so had to warn others. nI will start with the minor flaws n1) usb type c is not thunderbolt. So if you want a futureproof laptop forget itn2) The speakers sound almost dead like someone made them to emulate people dragging chains in hell . Buts its ok if you are going to use headphones anyway. Download Dfx enhancer, it sort of helps. n3) Screen is very fragile.. I had to be very careful not to split it in two. It wobbles even if you type with light strokes. I play with my controller just to have a stable screen. n4)The material used near the ports is very cheap. It started showing wear just after 2 days. I was copying games into the hd and i see a bit of plastic came off. But if you treat it like a desktop and put it inside a metal box it may not be a bad deal. But wait even that's not possible because of the 6th point on the list. n5) The charger heats up too much. But wait this is a gaming laptop so that's normal right? I had an Asus k55vm in my school days and even its charger would heat up. Used to keep my feet warm in the blanket in those late night winter gaming sessions . But this thing is whole another beast, after 3 hours of Dota and Witcher this thing literally started smelling as if something was burning. So i checked if i had unknowingly kept some paper under it. I move it and find brownish spot on my table. This was my final straw and had already made my mind of returning it. As when my previous charger got shorted I had to go through a lot to find another compatible one. But this thing wasn't done yet. n6) After a little bit of overwatch and an hour of coding. I touched the upper panel to check if it still gets depressed on light touch( yeah that happens too). And I was shocked to find it scorching. Like really hot. The other areas were normal but this thing was about to melt. On close inspection I could also observe some yellowish tinge on the screen just above this area. Guys 970 needs liquid cooling in desktops. Though this is the mobile version of the gpu I am pretty sure this was not supposed to be used in a such a thin chassis. nnSome good things n1)970m is a good upgrade but don't expect ultra settings. 60fps at medium settings is decent though. I run most of my games at 1366x768. Still sometimes I could notice frame drops. Building a pc with 970 would be cheaper and more rewarding. n2) The back-lit keyboard is good. Typing on it apart from the wobble was a nice experience . The Laptop feels light and easy to handle. n3) The provided applications are well designed and easy to use n4)Boot time is decent n5)Finish around the keyboard and back of the screen feels premium but attracts some amount of fingerprintsnnFinal verdict :This laptop packs some punch but is a gamble. If you want a laptop for small amounts of gaming and office work, there are other more safer options. I have used Asus laptops before and admired thier Build quality and value for money. But with this model Asus has gone too far to cut costs and put the 970 in there. I returned it after a week and bought a msi g60 instead. Almost same configuration. And it feels much cooler and sturdier. If you have ever used an Asus product you may know the state of Asus warranty support in India . If you have, then hearing "RAASHI SOLUTIONS " should give you chills. I still get nightmares sometimes. Anyways if you want to go for this laptop do your research and see some video reviews. Because if you are spending this amount of money you want it to last more than a year. Happy gaming.
This product is faulty with screen hang issues. Also its poorly build . nyou cannot return and asus will not give u accidental damage protection as flipkart takes 7 days to deliver and you cannot get warranty as you cannot register after 7 days of invoice. because u will get the product minimum after 7 daysnThey will reject all your request to return./replace
My rog 502 is not fitting in its rog bagnbag is too small for it nso can you please exchange it ????
