Best Asus ROG gaming laptop with GTX1050 VGA card and that also at gr8 price. This is my 2nd ROG laptop thanks ASUS and FK for such a great product :)
Hey People. Just got the laptop delivered. Saturday ordered and received Monday. That's surprisingly quick . The laptop is amazing and great packaging. Just setting it up and looks great and feels great. Loving the first feel of it. Will come up with another update as I use it more. Note- The display and sounds is amazing . True scene people.
Asus ROG GL553VD-FY130T . Trust me, i am loving this laptop more than anything else. Firstly, the display. It is bright and colorful. After using an old HP430 for over four years, i can definitely say that the display is beautiful. And viewing angles are great too. I tested only a few games. Arkham Asylum, Farcry 3 and NFS Mostwanted 2012. These old games run butter smooth at the highest graphics settings. Keyboard is spacious, though it is weird. I'll get used to it sooner or later. Backlighting on the keyboard is beautiful. Build quality is pretty good. Like a review mentioned about the panel over the display being weak and bending just for a little pressure. Don't worry, that's not like what they say it is. You'll need a lot of pressure to bend the display panel like that. Battery life is a concern if you're gaming. Don't expect it to return battery life like a nokia phone. If you're gaming, it's only about 45 minutes to an hour. Other less demanding tasks, about 3-4 hours. I chose this over the HP Omen. Just because for 3000 rupees extra i am getting a much colorful display, a backlit keyboard that can change brightness levels and colors, 4GB graphics instead of 2, a DVD drive which i can replace with my old SATA SSD with a compatible caddy, much better looks and a much better service than HP can provide.
Well I received the laptop with some defects thank God flipkart replaced it. According to specs & price point (bought it through exchange) this laptop is a charm. I will specially recommend it for mild or heavy gamers & also for the people looking for a workstation in a budget .. go for it👍 n* Supplier didn't mention but it do comes with the ROG bag *
Keyboard - pretty good.customisable backlights. I've been using mac for quite some time so the layout is a bit different. The shift key isnt wide enough and i keep hitting the next key by mistake. But typing experience is satisfactory. I use an external keyboard for playing.nScreen - Watchable from different angles. There is some serious bleeding, which is noticeable when brightness is high. Watched GOT in a dark room and we can see lights from top left, right and bottom left, right. Ruined the 'Eastwatch' experience to an extend. But if brightness s reduced u might not notice the bleeding.nSpeakers - Loud enough and good.nnSoftware - nHad a lot of updating to be done. Some 4 to 5 gb for windows 10 alone. nMicrosoft office expired within a week. So u'll have to look for some other option.nRecommended screen resolution doesn't give crisp letters in some settings options. The display driver will have to be updated, but still doesn't solve the issue completely. Again this is only in certain settings windows only.nnPerformance - GTX 1050. nTried witcher 3 in high with hairworks on and got some 27 to 30 fps. Putting high and reducing some post processing gives around 40 to 50 fps. Experienced sime pretty noticeable heating in high settings even with an external cooler fan.n nShadow of mordor works well in high settings.nnnThe missing 🌟 is for the screen bleeding.nnEdit:nBattery - lasts for about 2 to max 3 hrs
