I was looking for a laptop that had an nvidia graphics card, a 3rd generation intel iX processor and most importantly an anti-glare screen. And this was the only laptop I was able to find in the market, after a 3 month search both offline and online (Samsung NP300E5X-S03IN was out of stock everywhere), that met all the above requirements. Using glossy screens left me frustrated, as they restrict the usage significantly. And unfortunately none of the laptop makers now a days seem to bother about this aspect. Apple gives its customers a choice between glossy and anti-glare screens on all their models. Having used this laptop for a little over a week now, here's my take: pros: 1. Anti-glare screen 2. Decent build quality (but the hinges are made out of plastic) 3. Soft-touch Chiclet keyboard 4. Wifi has good range (Atheros AR9485WB-EG) 5. Does not become hot after long usage, thanks to the low-voltage processor Cons: 1. Finding it hard to use the mouse buttons on the touchpad 2. Only 2 USB ports (1x2.0 USB and 1x3.0 USB port) 3. No backlight for the keyboard 4. The caps-lock, num-lock LED's are noticeable only in the dark 5. 2.3 kg The GeForce GT 720M graphics card on this laptop is the one that was released on 25th December 2013 and has 192 shader units (CUDA cores) clocked in at 719 MHz as against the previous one with 96 shader units clocked in at 625 MHz. But the memory bus still remains at 64 bit.

I didn't buy this laptop from flipkart, but bought it from ASUS Exclusive store. Everybody make sure before buying that the laptop box should be properly sealed with ASUS Seal, if seal is broken don't buy. First of all its correct name in ASUS X550CC-XO072D. Flipkart is selling this product with wrong name as X550CC-XX072D which is wrong. Performance: 1. CPU : 1.8 GHz 3rd gen intel i3 3217U cpu which is a low voltage yet powerful processor from intel and requires only 17 watts of power. Here U means ultra low voltage. You can run any application without any problem. 2. GPU : 2 GB Nvidia 720M is enough to play latest games till 2013. All games at full resolutions. Tested games are COD series like MW, MW2 and MW3, nfs 2012, grid 2, tom clancy ghost recon, battlefield 4 etc. I m using a laptop cooler and it lowers the gpu and cpu tempearture by 3 to 4 degrees, I never game without laptop cooler. 3. Build Quality : It has very good build quality and back of the screen has a finger print finish with chrome asus logo. 4. LED indicators : All led indicators present like for HDD, caps lock, charging, wifi etc. Drivers CD comes with support to windows 8 only so u have to manually install the drivers from cd. Open the cd and go to softwares folders and install all softwares one by one. For wifi and bluetooth install only atheros qualcom drivers otherwise you will get problems if you install ralink and realtek together. About Hardware Quality: No doubt asus is no. 1 motherboard manufacturer of the world and is ODM which is bigger than OEM companies. ASUS has the best hardware quality as compared to HP, Dell, etc. Web cam driver is not present in cd. Download from asus website for ASUS X550CC XO072D.
I would advise you against buying this laptop. This model (dark grey color) is no longer available in the physical stores since the dark grey paint tends to peel off after a while. The owner of the store I visited was honest enough to tell me about this issue. On the other hand, the other colors, with the exact same configuration seems to be a quality product, and may be worth your money.
This is the best laptop that I could find in this budget. The main problem that I am facing is the USB porblem. The laptop is configured with two USB ports side by side. And it is very difficult to use 2 USB devices at the same time. Other than this, the laptop is well configured and fun to use.
