Not satisfied. I am seeing many manufacturing defects in the indoor unit and am thoroughly disappointed with the unskilled installation people from Carrier who mishandled my AC damaging the indoor unit. They put dents in the metal grill behind the air filter while installing it. They poured 3 bottles of water in the indoor unit to check drainage pipe. There are smudges all over the indoor unit. Uneven plastic surfaces. Also i am not seeing many parts mentioned in the product catalogue in the box. There are 2 different kinds of air cleaning strips in the air filters out of which the white one looks like a cheap cloth material. I had a very bad taste with online shopping this time. Won't repeat this mistake again.

I did an extensive market survey in my town for a 2 ton AC for my 220 sq ft living room. I could not find a suitable one. There were not many choices either. Non of the available ones were below Rs.55000/-. Then I searched online and after two days of research in the web finally chose this model from Carrier, one of the pioneer AC makers in India. The price suited my budget. This model was not available in my local market. Before ordering I called the customer care number of Carrier and confirmed the issues related to specifications and warranty. They informed me that this particular model was currently available only online. The price at Rs.44490/-, 10 years warranty on compressor, 2 years warranty on ODU PCB was quite attractive. After a week long research I finally placed the COD order with flipkart on 11th April 2018 at 10 pm. I must appreciate the prompt service of Flipkart and their courier partner Gati for the prompt delivery to my place, a small town in Odisha, namely, Sambalpur. It was delivered to me on 17th April evening two days prior to scheduled delivery date. 5 stars for this promptness in delivery. Before Flipkart updated the delivery date I called Carrier Customer care 1800 3011 1111 and booked installation for the AC. Carrier people were prompt enough to respond and two technicians came in the evening to install it. The installation was flawless and was at a special discounted price of Rs.499/-. Their service was excellent. As far as the product is concerned I am really satisfied. I am writing this review after using the AC for 5 days. It cools my 230 sq ft living room in precisely 10 minutes with the fan speed at the lowest. Its performance is the best. I have two more inverter ACs of LG and Voltas of 1.5 ton installed in my two bed rooms of 140 sq ft each. But I find the cooling efficiency of this carrier product much superior to them. Carrier is definitely a better brand in this market segment. What flipkart has not mentioned in product details is that during the 1 year warranty three free services are provided by the company. No other company gives this. They usually provide two free services only. I would like to suggest to Carrier the following so that they can gain even more market share. 1. Please provide at least 3 mtrs of drain pipe along with the AC. It was not there in the box supplied to me. The technician charged me extra Rs.300/- for that. 2. The length of the copper pipes and connecting cable provided (3 mtrs) is too short. It should be at least 5 mtrs so that customer has the flexibility to place the ODU conveniently without joints. 3. The ODU bracket should be included in the box as an optional accessory and fixing it should be a part of standard installation. The technician charged me extra Rs.300/- for fixing the ODU bracket. These are small issues but they mean a lot to customers. I think Carrier Media Pvt Ltd will take care to note and consider these points for better customer satisfaction . All said and done I recommend this AC for all who really need an AC for a bigger room. Both the product of Carrier and service of flipkart are excellent.
