After searching for few days, i have decided to go wtih core-i3 processor and 2-4gb ram. In search for the same i found few good deals from Asus,Samsung and Compaq. i finally ended up with Compaq cq42-462tu, for the following reasons, Pros: -14'' ideal for space and weight -Matte finish (no or less scratches visible) -sturdy and simple operation -Nice big keys, help in fast typing, (yet can't compare with mac notebook keyboards :)) -intel core I5-460m processor,( this is the big plus, in fact, this can be sole reason one should go with this laptop, as this processor has turbo boost capability. this helps in graphics enhancement, in simple terms it will act as 1gb graphics card, provided you that 1gb space from ram). -Screen looks vibrant -3GB RAM,(i have upgraded to 4GB for a small price) Now, let me tell the things i didn't like about - touch pad,even though it has nice response, yet times you don't get the scroll till you try twice -It doesn't come with installed OS -3 usb 2.0 port(it's a minor flaw as i feel, i wish to see 4 ports or usb 3.0) Apart from things mentioned here, my experience with this laptop last few days tell me the following -battery life is decent, i have got 3 hours of continuous net browsing over wifi. i hope these details will help you choose the right option for you guys. Windows Seven ultimate 32bit. Processor:6.6 Memory:5.5 Graphics:4.2 Gaming:5.2 primary hard disk:5.6 Value for money and an awesome service from flipkart. If u want an i5 within 30k then i would suggest this laptop. the touchpad as well as the wifi connections will have to manually configured.The hp support center provides all the necessary drivers and utilities
I find this is a good laptop, ya there have been not much few thing which need to be taken care. its a good reasonable with all the requirements. As I was reading some reviews of my friends mentioned they are absolutely true..the touch pad is giving little bit problem, in other word not problem like sometimes stucks you have try once more. Overall you can say its a good laptop to purchase. Though I have not purchased from flipkart still you can buy wherever you want, but If you buy from flipkart you will get the same benifit than outside.
