  • How to make video calls on Huawei P30 ?

    G

Answered By Girish Singh | 2 months ago

Video calling was never this easier. VoLte is all IP Based and allows you to make video calls from native dialing applications.

Your phone must support 4G VoLte to use the feature. If your phone is not Volte enabled, you can use widely used: Jio4GVoice" application to get your work done.

To enable inbuilt 4G Video Calling
    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Go to SIM and Network.
    3. Select preferred sim and Enable the Volte and Video call option.
Other best way to make a video call is to use one of the popular video calling application.

  • How to hide or protect apps on Huawei P30 ?

    H

Answered By Heera Subramanian | 2 months ago

It is a good option to hide or lock your apps to save you from a mini heart attack when someone takes your phone, or keep some applications personal to you.

With new features being added up in new Android versions, this has also been added.

You are likely to find in Settings under Utilities. (Different for Different Androids)

Another way is to get an Application from the Play Store.
The most popular one which I am also using in App Lock. It allows fingerprint unlocking also.
    To install it:
    1. Go to Play store and search for App Lock.
    2. Download the application with this icon
    3. Image result for app lock
    4. Download and Install it.
    5. Now, launch the application.
    6. Setup password and Recovery Questions.
    7. Now you can select the applications you wish to lock.
    8. You can also hide your pictures and video inside Vault.

    **Best Feature**
You can hide the App Lock application itself and then open it using:
    Dialer or Browser.

  • How to set up Wifi Hotspot on Huawei P30 ?

    H

Answered By Harita Balasubramanium | 2 months ago

Your phone can be used to connect another phone, computer or tablet to connect to the internet using your internet. For sharing the service, another device should be connected via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB.

Setting up a Hotspot is really simple as follows:
    1. Go to Settings and look for Hotspot and Tethering.
    2. Tap and turn on Wifi Hotspot.
    3. To change the authentication mechanism or password click Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot. (Select None for open Wifi network with no password)
     On the other device:
    1. Turn on Wi-Fi and search for your own network.
    2. Select it and enter a password if required.
    Note:
If another device is connected via USB or Bluetooth, you need to turn on USB tethering and Bluetooth tethering respectively.

To root your phone manually, you need to turn on USB Debugging.

    1. Go to Setting, Find kernel version in About.
    2. Tap it seven times, at which point you should see the message, "You are now a developer!" With that done, tap Settings, About Phone, Developer Options, and then tick USB debugging." Then tap OK to approve the setting change.
    3. Now turn it ON  in fastboot mode and unlock the bootloader.
    4. Install a recovery to help you with flashing.
    5. Flash a supporting custom ROM and gapps.

XDA Developers is a great site to help you with the process, support and Custom ROMs.
