  • How to cast my Samsung Galaxy M10s screen on TV ?

    K

Answered By Kamalika Chopra | 10 months ago

To cast your phone screen on your TV you need to have Chromecast.
Follow the steps to successfully cast your screen-

    Before you begin casting

    1. Connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network.
    2. The mobile device, tablet or computer you are using to cast must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
    3. You must be running the latest version of the Chromecast-enabled app. You can always double check that you are on the latest version by visiting the Google Play Store.

Cast from Chromecast-enabled apps to your TV

    1. Make sure that the phone you are using to cast is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast or TV with Chromecast built-in.
    2. Open a Chromecast-enabled app.
    3. Tap the Cast button Inactive cast extension.

Note: The Cast button isn't located in the same place on all Chromecast-enabled apps.

    4. Tap the device you'd like to cast to.

    5. When you're connected, the Cast button will turn color, letting you know you're connected.
    6. Select the app like Youtube, Browser, Google Music etc and look for the Cast icon as shown in the image below.

You can now cast videos, movies and TV shows directly to your TV.
To stop casting, tap the Cast button and then Disconnect.

Imagine you open your old phone and you are unable to unlock it. The only choice you have is to hard reset it. It is just a mechanism to erase everything on your phone and restore all the defaults. The memory is erased and the password is reset. You can follow this simple guide to hard reset your device.

    1. Turn off the phone and then press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key simultaneously until the Android system recovery screen appears.
    2. Use the Volume Down key to highlight the wipe data/factory reset option and then use the Power button to make the selection.

  • How to hide or protect apps on Vivo U10 ?

    T

Answered By Taruntapan Sharma | 10 months ago

Many phones these days provide an inbuilt app locker. You can find this option as App Locker, generally under the Utilities option. You can simply open the option and select an app which you wish to lock. Now everytime you wish to open that app, you will have to enter the phone lock password or authenticate using fingerprint sensor, if your phone supports fingerprint.

Alternatively, if your phone does not support this feature, you can download the app named app locker from play store.

    You can find it here.

    Configuring it is easy.

    1. Download App Lock from the Google Play Store.
    2. You will be asked to set a pattern lock when you launch it for the first time.
    3. Then you need to configure an E-Mail ID for security and backup purposes.
    4. Under the Privacy tab, you can find a list of apps installed. You can select any one of them to lock.
    5. Now whenever you open the app you have locked using AppLock, you will be asked for a password.
    6. You can also unlock it using your fingerprint.

  • How to upgrade my OS to the latest version on Vivo U10 ?

    S

Answered By Shashank Gupta | 10 months ago

Vivo U10 will possibly get security patch upgrades, performance upgrades, and Android pie upgrade as well. You can easily upgrade your phone with OTA Updates.

    You simply need to:

    1. Go to Settings > About phone > System updates.
    2. Check for updates
    3. Install.

Make sure you have at least 40 % battery, to prevent your phone from bricking.

For unofficial upgrades, you need to:

    1. Root by unlocking its bootloader
    2. install a recovery and
    3. Then, Flash a supporting zip along with gaps.

XDA Developers is really a helpful site for the process, support, and Custom ROMs.
