  • How to cast my Vivo U20 screen on TV ?

    M

Answered By Mitali Kapoor | 12 months ago

To cast your phone screen on your TV you need to have Chromecast.
Follow the steps to successfully cast your screen-

    Before you begin casting

    1. Connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network.
    2. The mobile device, tablet or computer you are using to cast must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast.
    3. You must be running the latest version of the Chromecast-enabled app. You can always double check that you are on the latest version by visiting the Google Play Store.

Cast from Chromecast-enabled apps to your TV

    1. Make sure that the phone you are using to cast is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast or TV with Chromecast built-in.
    2. Open a Chromecast-enabled app.
    3. Tap the Cast button Inactive cast extension.

Note: The Cast button isn't located in the same place on all Chromecast-enabled apps.

    4. Tap the device you'd like to cast to.

    5. When you're connected, the Cast button will turn color, letting you know you're connected.
    6. Select the app like Youtube, Browser, Google Music etc and look for the Cast icon as shown in the image below.

You can now cast videos, movies and TV shows directly to your TV.
To stop casting, tap the Cast button and then Disconnect.
You can also watch this step-by-step guide to do the same

  • How to upgrade my OS to the latest version on Vivo U20 ?

    I

You can easily upgrade your phone with OTA Updates.

    You simply need to:

    1. Go to Settings > About phone > System updates.
    2. Check for updates
    3. Install.

Make sure you have at least 40 % battery, to prevent your phone from bricking.

For unofficial upgrades, you need to:

    1. Root by unlocking its bootloader
    2. install a recovery and
    3. Then, Flash a supporting zip along with gaps.

XDA Developers is really a helpful site for the process, support, and Custom ROMs.

Below video demonstrated the manual method to upgrade by installing a recovery:

  • Does Vivo U20 have a Corning Gorilla Glass protection?

    A

Answered By Ananya Punj | 12 months ago

No, the Vivo U20 does not have the Corning Gorilla Glass protection and it is quite a letdown for the device for its price.

The Corning Gorilla Glass ensures a little more protection of your mobile screens from sudden falls.

    Check all about Gorilla Glass-

  • How to hide photos and videos on Vivo U20 ?

    S

Answered By Sarah Nair | 12 months ago

There might be some pictures or videos that you want to keep safe, so you have no worries while sharing your phone with others for a phone call or showing the selected pictures you took on your last trip.

You can hide sensitive pictures and video and just relax.
There are many ways of doing that.

    The Technical Way:
    • One way to hide pictures from showing up in your gallery is to change their extension.
    • You can do that by renaming them and putting something else than .jpg or .jpeg
    • These are the formats which your phone photo viewer understand as a picture.
    • Your pics are not hidden and still accessible through File manager, but they will surely not show up in the gallery.
    The Easiest way:
The easiest way to hide and unhide your pictures in bulk is to use a vault. There are a lot of applications available for hiding your pictures and videos. You can choose one from them:

My personal favorite is Vault as it allows you to hide SMS and take backups. You can also protect your applications with this.

    Know how to Vault:
