This makes it the most affordable Qualcomm Snapdragon 820-powered smartphone in India. It offers 3GB DDR4 RAM and 32GB internal storage. Theres a 64GB variant too with 4GB of RAM onboard, but that retails at a higher price of Rs 17,999. Coolpad Cool1 Dual (Rs 13,999)

The Cool1 Dual is the first phone resulting from the partnership between Coolpad and LeEco. Just like the Honor 6X, the most interesting feature of the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual is the presence of a dual rear camera setup. The handset packs a dual 13MP f/2.0 rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus and a dual-LED flash. The rear camera is capable of shooting 4K videos at 30 fps. The mid-ranger also packs an 8MP f/2.2 front camera with a wide-angle lens.

    Coolpad Cool 1 Dual

Externally, the Coolpad Cool1 Dual look a lot like the LeEco Le2 (review). The design similarities are especially prominent when it comes to the front panel of the Cool1 Dual. To the front of the smartphone lies a 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD display flanked by a set of capacitive buttons below, along with an earpiece and a set of sensors above. Powering the Coolpad Cool1 Dual is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM. As for storage, the mid-range phablet comes with 32GB of onboard storage. Those looking for more storage space wouldnt be quite happy with the Cool1 Dual as the smartphone misses out on a microSD card slot. Another key aspect of the smartphone is its battery. • Which is the best mobile under Rs.10000?

    C

Answered By Chiman Jayaraman | 5 months ago

The budget smartphone category (sub-Rs 10,000) has come a long way since these devices were first introduced. Gone are the days of cheap plastic builds and sub-standard specifications, today we have metal-clad smartphones with decent specifications. Such is the popularity of these handsets that there have been cases where users have ditched their ageing high-end or mid-range smartphones in favour of these budget handsets, as they make for better value for money. This is the list of top 5 smartphones, which are the best picks according to us in the sub Rs 10k segment.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (Rs 9,999)

Launched not too long ago, the Redmi Note 4 is leading the charge in the budget segment for Xiaomi this year. The smartphone comes in three different variants with varying RAM and storage options, with prices ranging from Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999. As for the Rs 9,999 model, users get 2GB of RAM along with 32GB of storage. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 625 chip which, dare we say, is one of the best processors in the VFM segment right now. The smartphone also features a metal body, a 5.5-inch full HD display, a pair of 13MP and and 5MP camera sensors, on the rear and the front respectively, along with a massive 4,100mAh battery. Users can also find a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera module, which is fairly snappy in daily usage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is one of the most complete devices in the market right now.

    Lenovo K6 Power (Rs 9,999)

Good things come in small packages, dont they? Well, at least the Lenovo K6 Power does. The K6 Power, which comes in a fairly compact form factor owing to its 5-inch full HD display manages to pack a massive 4,000mAh battery inside its metallic shell. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 430 SoC and is supported by 3GB of RAM, which is good enough for basic tasks and some casual gaming as well. In the camera department, users get a 13MP rear facing camera and an 8MP selfie shooter, both of which take decent photographs. Below the primary camera is rests the smartphones fingerprint sensor which unlocks the device in a jiffy. Running a near-stock version of Android Marshmallow, the Lenovo K6 Power will set you back by Rs 9,999.

Xiaomi Redmi 4 (Rs 6,999 onwards)

Another contender from Xiaomi, this handset is a follow up to last years Redmi 3S Prime (review). This device has been launched across 3 variants viz. 2GB RAM / 16GB storage, 3GB RAM / 32GB storage and 4GB RAM / 64GB storage. The Redmi 4 does not offer any significant upgrade over the Redmi 3S Prime, except for the 2.5D glass panel on front, the full HD screen and the Snapdragon 435 octa-core SoC. The new handset has the same metal-clad, unibody chassis and is being offered in all black colour option as well. Some salient features of the smartphone include fingerprint scanner, MIUI 8 with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS and 4,100mAh battery.

Panasonic Eluga Ray X (Rs 8,999)

With the new Eluga Ray lineup, Panasonic has brought AI to the budget segment. Under Rs 10,000, Panasoni Eluga Ray X offers ARBO AI smart assistant, which learns from user behaviour and suggests apps, places and actions. This is definitely a pro in the budget section since not many devices at this price come with it. On the specs front, the device boasts of 5.5-inch HD display, Android Marshmallow, 1.3GHz processor, a 13MP primary snapper and a beefy 4,000mAh battery. However, its the ARBO AI, which gives it an edge over other smartphones in the same range.

    YU Yureka Black (Rs 8,999)

Amidst rumours of shutting shop, Micromaxs sister concern, YU has gone ahead and launched Yureka Black. The new device is an attempt by the brand to offer looks and performance in a single package. Flaunting an iPhone 7 like jet black finish, Yureka Black comes with a unibody metal casing. The brand has equipped the new phone with a Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor and 4GB RAM, so we know that lag should be the least of our worries. Blessed with a 13-megapixel primary camera and 3,000mAh battery, Yureka Black also happens to be the most aesthetic handset in the budget segment at the moment.
