There is no such option provided by Moto in their User Interface. However, if you want to record your calls, you can definitely go with some call recording apps that satisfy the feature. ACR Call Recorder would be my pick as it is lite, simplistic and user-friendly that helps in making any person understand its features and usage.

I think it is a problem in Moto G series phones for screen mirroring. It should be rooted to enable it. They disabled it because wifi and casting cannot be done at the same time because of hardware limitations.
Other mobiles which are able to do it must not have this hardware limitation (or inspite of this hardware limitation they would have enabled it). My Lenovo Vibe P1 detects the TV and does the screen mirroring (Cast Screen/Wireless Display in the menu) although speed and clarity is not that great.
What you can try is install Smart View from Samsung or Screen Stream Mirroring to cast/stream the media content from your mobile to the TV if your TV comes inbuilt with wifi (and some sort of content sharing feature). It cant exactly mirror your phone but play the media contents!
