I bought this laptop a week back. Flipkart delivered the laptop within promised time frame of 5 days. I somehow managed to get a good bargain price using a few offers and I knew from the start I might be compromising on quality and features but the specs were great for the price tag. The very first thing I noticed was the laptop doesn't have a power LED, so if you shut the lid or your power configuration turn the screen off there's no way you could tell whether the laptop is on or off. It has got an average built quality nothing like latitude or thinkpad series but a decent chassis. The speakers work wonder thanks to Maxx Audio, my 4 years old Hp laptop has more powerful speakers than this humble gadget. I almost always have to use a headphone. Needless to say no bass and weak mids. The biggest let down was that the laptop support only 4GB of RAM!! I called up Dell after using the laptop for a day or two, inquiring about RAM upgrade options, I was very politely made aware that the laptop doesn't support more than 4 GB RAM and that Flipkart should have mentioned the same in the product description. Also the Complete Cover warranty and Part warranty are valid upto June 2013. When I raised the issue with dell, the simple answer was the laptop was shipped to merchant in June and hence the warranty cover expires in June itself. Please contact flipkart regarding the warranty. Utterly disappointed by 4 GB RAM limitation and missing/incompetent features I called up flipkart for a return/exchange for a better model. I got a callback next day and the lady was not ready to understand any logic but stuck to one single point that the product page says the laptop comes with 4GB RAM so its implied that it supports maximum 4GB RAM only. I mean common what kind of people flipkart has hired, such people can only be used to sell rotten stuff and fight with customer without any logical grounds. As far as warranty is concerned I am still waiting for reply. Flipkart deserves a standing ovation for customer service, I'd trust a scrap dealer more than flipkart at least they standby their words and have nothing to hide. I am soon dropping in a notice to Flipkart and WS retail for misrepresenting and willfully hiding important information such as warranty and hardware limitations of the laptop from the consumer. Don't waste your time and money on this product.

I bought this laptop about a month ago, and strongly recommend it to people who want a good general purpose/gaming laptop. OS: Ubuntu is a very stable OS, boot time is quick. The advantage of buying a laptop with Ubuntu or Linux is that they are a solid 4-5k cheaper than laptops with Windows, which have a license charge. Can anyways get Windows from outside. Screen: No issues with the screen. Anti-glare sort of works, I guess. Keyboard: Standard, no issues. Touchpad: Standard touchpad, no pointless different syled keypads like in certain HP laptops. Easy to use. Size: The reason I bought a 14 inch laptop is because being a college student, it si far easier to manage. It is more than large enough to watch movies, and it also weighs less, which is a very important factor. Can easily be carried around in 1 hand. I don't know why 15.6 inch has become the industry standard, but I recommend 14 inch to anyone who is not a hardcore gamer or wants a large screen for videos. Weight: Light and convenient. Looks: Perhaps the only negative factor of the laptop. Doesn't really look bad, but it isn't one of those laptops which makes someone stand up and take notice. Very durable though! And unlike other laptops with a glossy finish, which start to look old after a while, this one probably looks the same with time too. Finish: Simple, slightly old-styled. Long lasting, seems like. VGA/HDMI: Only VGA available. If HDMI is a need for you, this laptop is a strict no-buy. Performance: In one word, Excellent. With those sort of specs, can't expect any less! Works smoothly, no lag at all. No issues here!

This product sucks!! From the flipkart side, delivery was fast , packing was ok But.... the product is of abnormally low quality 1. The speakers stopped functioning after 7 days! 2. I am being shown that the warranty is till June while I bought the product in August 3. DELL Company is cheating us by selling these kind of Ubuntu laptops. For anything, they just say - We support windows but not ubuntu. Even if it is a hardware problem, they say, we support Ubuntu I have been a customer of Dell for more than 5 years - using 3 different Dell laptops. I have decided I would never ever purchase a dell product Think twice before you go for this. Better go with Lenovo...

This laptop is cool for people who travel a lot on cosidering its just 2kgs, its ultra power saving processor (sometimes wanna bang the laptop to get some response, poor 1.7Ghz) but the so called " 14" HD LED screen " is not actually a perfect fit for the lap. As it has a lot of room for side rests this lap just one finger close to a 15.6", So why waste money get a 15.6" instead. Games like Blur are really gud to be played. I am a desk friendly user and inspite of that the LED is already ruined and got spots on the mid left and right. Since I occasionally carry my lap back home from my office , that too in a Targus bag worth INR.2500 I don get a justification for the marks in the screen.The touch pad is so cooool it behaves way coooler at times showing a mere opposite to Artificial "Intelligence" With nearly a 40k into this im very well in a deep shit.

Thanks to flipkart for delivering the product very quick. I am writing this review after using it for 10 days.Very good looking and light weight laptop.As mentioned in the product description it came with ubanto OS But i installed windows 7 in it and working absouletly good.All drivers are availalbe in the Dell website.Here are my pros and cons of the product. Pros 1)Light weight 2)Not getting heated up even after using it for more than 3 hours 3)Battery is giving back up for 3 hrs 4)OS is booting up very fast. 5)Decent display. 6)Chiclets keypad Cons 1)Free Antivirus mentioned is expired and it is even not supported for upgrading it hence they need to remove this option in the product description 2)Delicate mouse pad 3)No indicators like wifi 4)Seems to be little bit delicate building
