I own this laptop, and no, i did not get mine from flipkart. I saw a few mistakes in the previous review and wanted to clarify. First of all, it DOES come with 8 gigs of ram (although mine is 16gb and it costs more). Anfd no, no blu-ray unless ur willing to pay extra. Battery life is decent for a gaming machine and the system is SILENT !! it does not have a loud cooling fan ( the previous versions did, but this is the 2013 edition ). And it does not get heated up fast either! this lap can take all what u throw at it and do it in Ultra high settings! verdict, no cons and yes....this is the best mid-range gaming lap !
Runs Battlefield 4 on medium to high, on 1080p. Current gen games are a piece of cake. And that 1080p Display is jaw dropping. Doesn't run too hot. GPU temps after an hour of BF4 were 62 degrees. And not as loud as the old gen, The best sub 15 inch gaming notebook currently available. Swap the HDD for an SSD, and it will cut even more noise. Just by the way, I got it for 3 grand less from retail. Same specs. So try your Authorised Dell Outlet first.
Dell's new gaming laptops are insanely fast.The new Alienware 14 comes with top-notch hardware.4th gen Ci7,16 gig of ram(yes FLIPKART mentioned it WRONG),Nvidia GT 765M and 750GB hdd.The Windows Experience Index gave it an impressive 5.9(lowest subscore of hdd) and it has also got a Blu-ray drive as far as my knowledge goes. Pros : Amazing performance,audio output,gorgeous FHD display & CUSTOMZIABLE LED lighting.Dell has also revamped the entire design.The chassis is magnesium alloy with aluminum top.It has a backlit logo,backlit keyboard & for the first time a backlit TRACKPAD!!(All Customizable) Cons : Its Bulky,steep price,disappointing battery life & loud cooling fan.The downside is it gets hot just after 40-45 mins of gaming & the cooling fan makes noise like a mini jet engine.The battery life is,however,just over two hours of gaming & close to three hours with normal use. Verdict : If a gaming notebook is what you need and have money to spare,there's not much else that can beat the Alienware 14.
This is a heavy duty laptop - emphasis on the heavy. Weighing in an incredible 2.5+ kg weight, this is ideal for the mobile gamer. Pros: 1) Alienware. Duh! 2) A design that will make others drool 3) Runs nearly all games with all bells and whistles Cons: 1) One heavy dude! Other than that, if it suits your budget, go for it!
First of all thanks to flipkart for delivering it in just two working days with so well packed, kudos... Pros of the Laptop: 1. Great Configuration can run any game very smoothly with maximum settings. 2. Eye catching Design 3. No Heating Problems in-spite of using it for hours together for running graphic intensive applications. 4. Runs very Smoothly without any noise 5. Even its looks so bulky, weight is less than expected. Cons: 1. Slot DVD Drive Conclusion: Worth for the price spent, for gamer a highly must have laptop.
