So,Overall I Will Suggest Everyone That This Laptop Is One Of The Best From Dell.Thumbs Up For Dell.
The laptop is amazingly fast. Not to forget, it has an i7(4th Gen) and 8GB Ram and 1TB hard disk. Battlefield 4 runs perfect and so does counter strike. But this laptop I just received a few days back had a defect. The right mouse button works and sometimes doesn't. I've requested for replacement and if they don't replace then this is a very serious issue.
Worth buy for laptop gamers. built quality is a bit low but it will make up on specs and performance. Bought this on 16/8/14 and got a discount of 3k (SBI Cash back)
After a long search for i7 processor laptop, I have ended up in buying dell 3542 laptop. Laptop is working perfectly. Games are running smoothly. Having good screen width and HD display is doing its job. The main surprise was, laptop is having back lit keyboard which was mentioned in specification as standard keyboard. Issue : Touch pad got stuck two or three times[might be due to the disconnection of external HDD]. Its started working automatically after 3 to 4 mins.
I have baught this product from Dell Exclusive Store with lot of i.e. in 56500. Colour : I looked at both the colour Silver and Black. Silver looks great so went for it. Specs : same as mentioned here. To get max performance download latest drivers from the Dell support and Nvidia to ehance the speed. I have opted for the Diwali offer of 2 years extended warranty by paying 1500 which is great. Display is great. After coming home I checked the laptop thoroughly and found out that the keyboard backlit is not working and contacted the dealer and in turn Dell Support they sent and engineer same day and replace the keyboard. Thumbs up to Dell Support. Cons : Feeling eye strain after working for long hours due to screen glare this problem is with all the HD displays. you can not decrease brightness to suitable level. The laptop does not have any LED's to indicate the status of the laptop, one can not tell if it is on or shut down if screen is not on. For that you have to to check with caps lock key which has only LED light working. Other light is at the right edge which lits when connected to adapter. It has only one 3.0 USB port should have been more. No VGA port only HDMI one. I was going to buy Vostro i5/8GB/GT420 one but that series does not have HDMI port and has only VGA port. In market you can get HDMI to VGA converter but not the other way round. Overall Satisfied with the laptop. Will update this after using for few months, if required.
