Hi All,nI have purchased this laptop 15 days back, not as such any major con was there... However some of the points that i would like to notify are as below:nThis was the first time i have experienced pathetic service from flipkart. Laptop delivery date was 2nd Aug 2014 however on my reminding calls also they were not sure that it can be deliver on 2nd aug. Finally i have to call a dozen people to get my laptop on 2nd aug and that to i have pick it from their distribution center. Anyways i am here to review laptop.nI have booked this laptop for around 35k, yes that is true. price of laptop was 39999 on flipkart at the time of booking there was 2500/- flat discount was provided by flipkart. This was not all, 10% cash back was also given be HDFC, so this was a rocking deal.nLaptop is having fine silver texture on top, that sounds good. On the very first day i have removed Ubuntu and installed Windows 7 on it and it is working very smooth. Also 15 months mcafee antivirus was present in the pack. nLets move to pros and cons...nnPros of this Laptop:n1) 4th gen core i5 + 4GB RAM - this gives a powerful and stable combination.n2) good quality HD camera.n3) HDMI portn4) one 3.0 USB slot for high speed data transmission.nnCons of this Laptop:n1) First thing that i have noticed about this laptop is... it is only having one LED to display power or charge is on/off. Yes a single LED for two purpose, i mean who does that. Also there was no LED to display system processing or WiFi or bluetooth.n2) mouse pad is of low quality, sounds total plastic touch. n3) 4 cell battery, it should be atleast 6 for 15 inch screen.nnExcept above 3 cons this laptop was good and value for money for me. go ahead and grab your one its current price is 44K.
believe me,... it is a very good product..i have got a great experience of gaming bcz of its graphics card..... But it has just one drawback... u have to buy a speaker with this laptop... sound quality is very low... Overall it is a good investments of ur bucks...
HInnI recently purchased of Dell laptop from Flipkart (Order No OD306102652323033000 DELL INSPIRON 3000 SERIES I5-3542, Dell Laptop Service Tag Serial No: 4WWB512)nnI had Hardware and Software Problems and when we contacted Flipkart, we were asked to contact DELL service Centre. On contacting we were informed by the Dell Service Centre over phone that this particular laptop was manufactured in 2014, with the terms and conditions that this has to be sold in USA only and the warranty of this laptop has got expired on 23rd February 2016. As such this product is not under warranty, though my purchase was on June 6th 2016.nnThe History of the Problems are as Follows. nnI have been facing one problem or other since the date of the purchase. The problems I faced was, Neither the touchpad, the wifi I was working properly, a white line on the LCD was also seen and the sound from the speakers was not available.n n The laptop came preloaded with Ubuntu 14.04 version operating system as promised. We presumed that the above issues could be because of the drivers missing in the operating system pre installed.We called the Dell online support and they confirmed that the drivers for the said operating system is not available. Thanks to our luck when we upgraded the Ubuntu operating system to version 15.10,n n We could see that the WiFi driver and the Touchpad drivers got updated. The problems of the speaker being non functional and the white line on the LCD remained. We thought of contacting the service centre for availing Warranty service. To our surprise and shock, we were informed by the Dell Service Centre that this particular laptop was manufactured in 2014, with the terms and conditions that this has to be sold in USA only and the warranty of this laptop has got expired on 23rd February 2016. As such this product is not under warranty.n n We had been talking to Flipkart call centre and initially we were informed that we have to speak to Dell Store directly. After repeated calls we have been told by your team to provide the nearest service centre contact details so that Flipkart will be directly intervening and resolving the issue and enabled to have 1 year warranty from the date of delivery of the laptop from you. The contact number and address of the service centre were provided to Flipkart.nnNow till date, we are calling Flipkart, but no response from FLIPKART.
Configuration wise it sounds good with 4th Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 1TB. However hardware of this product not upto DELL standard. Battery and speaker quality can be improved to match with config.nnIt is not a kids play type. Very delicate hardware. Since ts size was 15"+ not easy to handle. Overall I am satisfied with its performance.
This is regarding my recent purchase of this laptop..there are no issue issues with the machine but yes there are issues issues with flipkart.on 21september2014 I ordered silver color of this laptop with the ongoing diwali offer of free branded bakpack,two years of additional warranty and shopping coupons of worth 3000 rupees..when I received the laptop firstly I noticed that the laptop shipped is of black color and not silver.on opening the parcel fully I searched for additional warranty and coupons but couldnt find any...since then I have been contacting flipkart customer support the only thing I recieve from them is the assurance mail that we have escalated the issue and it will be resolved by this date and that time..four timelines have already been missed by flipkart...I really feel that I have been duped by flipkart I could have purchased thr laptop from open market and may be at even cheaper price....nnnThis review is for flipkart. Support ..a very Bad Experience..nnif flipkart Is not going to give the offers which it mentioned at the time of booking its better for them to intimate me same and refund my amount..
