Specs and pricing mismatch

The keyboard mentioned on dell's website is a backlit one, but here it shows standard keyboard. Dell offers a free laptop bag worth Rs. 1999 /- with this model. Plus there is a back to college offer on this product there, that give one year additional accidental insurance plus, sennizer headphones etc. Why have you kept prices same as Dell when you are not offering all those products and configuration here ? I love to but this product if pricing can be modified accordingly.

simply the best performance laptop you could want!!!

I bought this laptop after thorough research for nearly 6 months and I must admit I made the right choice..Dell 5548 brings the best in class FHD display, latest processors, graphic card at relatively competitive price. I have been using this for a couple of days and the experience has been excellent.. First, thank you Flipkart for delivering this product under 3 days...Hats off!!! Packaging was good and everything was communicated as expected. Observation so far: Amazing display, good quality sound, blazing processors for multitasking and playing games. Touch screen is very responsive. Key board is backlit and looks cool.

Worth the money!

Dell Inspiron 5548 (Notebook) (Core i7 5th Gen/ 8GB/ 1TB/ Win8.1/ 4GB Graph/ Touch) I got the model without the 3D webcam which used to retail for 67,800 on Flipkart as in June 2015. The Dell store sells the same model for Rs 70,000. Been using it for two weeks. Bought on June 7, 2015. Configuration – All those numbers just don’t look good on paper! I am not a gamer, but this thing can run PS with multiple images (10-15 of them simultaneously) with LR along with chrome with a lot of tabs open. And even then this machine doesn’t break any sweat. For me that is great. All you can hear is the fan speed increase, which is like hearing an AC run in another room. Form – It’s Thin and light to carry around. The brushed aluminium looks good and classy. The keyboard has this kind of a satin matt black finish which looks a bit off at first, but then you get used to it. Power button misses a light which is annoying. Processor and battery LED indicators are two very faint lights on the front left side of the laptop. Ports – Two 3.0 and One 2.0 USB ports. Data transfer is pretty fast. Screen – FHD is just great and the colour representation is pretty good. Good viewing angles which don’t change colour on slightest movement of the screen. Touch screen is a fancy add on, but I don’t see it being used so often. Screen is bright and I am the kind of guy who usually uses the screen at full brightness during the day and on this laptop it’s at 20 per cent! Keyboard is a bit off, even when I was using a Dell before. But it’s a matter of time before I get used to it. Its backlit with two levels of brightness setting. Battery life – Can’t comment much, but should last anywhere between 2 to 4 hours depends on the usage. The best I have done is 5 hours of watching movies and worst is about 2 hours of heavy multi-tasking Pros Configuration FHD touch Display Backlit keyboard Graphic card Touch screen Weight Form factor Cons Noisy when heavy multi-tasking. Keyboard – A whole bunch of keys move when buttons in the centre of the keyboard are pressed. Glossy screen is a finger print magnet Speaker volumes a bit low, but I use external speakers so not much of a problem. Lacks a CD/DVD drive, but people hardly use it now. Bought it for 70k from a Dell store – Got the following stuff – Backpack Wireless Dell mouse Keyboard protector McAfee for a year 20GB Dropbox space for a year Absolute Lojack laptop tracker for a year

Has serious build issues hinge fails

I purchased this laptop last year, there are 2 others in my hostel who have the same laptop and we have the same problem, the right hinge of the laptop fails and breaks soon. This might appear a trivial issue but the problem is , the issue is not covered under warranty and because the hinge breaks , as what happen in my case, a small metal piece went into the laptop and short circuited the motherboard. It is an amazing laptop performance wise but its like buying an amazing car with door locks that don't work, a very risky purchase. Only buy if youre planning on using it like a desktop ie without opening or closing the screen And FYI Dell Service is bureaucratic,it takes an hour to register a complaint, solving takes a week

Amazing laptop.

I have been using this laptop for almost a year now and it has given an awesome performance all these days. Its a daily utility laptop, It has backlit too in the keyboard to its easy to use in dark places as well and the keys are soft and comfy to use, the processor is Intel i7 5th generation and 8GB RAM so you wont notice lags in your laptop. And its powered with 4GB AMD Graphic Card so gaming is quite good too. And fun side is you get a touch screen laptop that really helps you when you are reading something. And i can assure you that the touch is Superb!! Awesome touch scree with FHD diaplay and True Colours that saves your eyes from damage. And lastly the body, Its a premium body that looks pretty awesome, its not that scratch resistant body but it gives a premium look to your laptop!! I would surely recommend you guys to purchase this. I purchased it for 66k a year ago. But still its worth it, go for this laptop :)
